Thank you for the demo. Love both but the 10" for recording is insane. Really defines itself in feel and tone. Love it. Thanks again! 🙂🤘🙏

Excellent demo. I also did an A-B test & opted for the 10” as it handles my 335 as easy as my Tele. Also my other combo amp is the Mercury V - 12”.

Obviously Carr needs to build a cab with a 10 and a 12 for this amp at 4ohms.

No electrical guitar experience but I like the 10 better for clarity.

The ten inch has more mids in your face ready for leads. The 12 inch is spatial sound open for vocals to fit right in. I think this was very informative. I've always liked the sound of the little Vox AC10 and the Carr Raleigh. You should do the same type demo with the Carr Raleigh, it too now comes with the choice 10" 0r 12".

In other demos, I liked the 12” consistently better so I got the 12”. The 10” has too much speaker distortion for me

I'm sure you've, by now deteted why this method of A/Bing doesn't work...yep, mic placement. If you want a fair attempt, try the same set-up with one mic out in front of both amps.

Is it just the speaker? The 10 sounds way better... surprisingly!

Technically, it's also a different cabinet. The 10" has a smaller cabinet whereas the 12" is larger.

The 10” sounds louder. But maybe it just has a sweeter presence. Interesting approach. my hearing is a little different in each ear. But the 10” sounded way more present. Is that your experience in the room?

They felt very comparable volume-wise. Surprisingly so. I tried my best to get the volumes balanced but think it may come across as louder in the video because of it's midrange frequency as well as some potentially different mic placement (which I also tried to keep as consistent as I could regarding position and distance).
