The red Honda Jazz problem was that Honda thought they’d cracked it, by putting a clear coat over it. Great except it still faded, but *under* the lacquer 😩😂

I got ford fiesta 2015 mk7 1.25 5 doors 71k full service history,cam belt replace at 63k 2 x keys new mot, £5195very hard to sell,buy if I get a part x at £2500 sold straight away,this trade is hard .

Greg Sarah. Yup. I can believe it. I leave them. Pure tec engine is wet belt. They just don’t sell well enough any engine trim derivative. Even hot ones slow to sell

When I get that I reduce it to absolutely the least I can take, you can put that money into another car that might (?) be profitable, at least doing that makes me feel better anyway.

Proper metallic brown - I think really suits a mini clubman, and it also depends on spec. My mate has a Kuga in met brown, which sounds awful, but because it's the titanium X actually really suits it. I always loved red cars personally, but it has put me off them since I've been selling cars. It angers me that people don't like red. Got stuck with a red fiesta for months, and it was such a nice car.

I've had a Vauxhall Antera, 2013 2.2 diesel, one owner, 88,000 miles. According to Autotrader, retail check it was 93%. Metallic grey. Would never buy another one

A cheapish but mundane car with the top wack tax rate of around £700 PA must be hard to move on. Stuff like the older 2.3 auto mondeo.

Hi both well we have just purchased a new old car if you know what I mean . Mini Cooper 2017 and yes it is red black roof and I got to say it’s looks bloody lovely with black wheels.

I do OK with leggy stuff, tbh they're usually good cars, serviced to the bollo**s, you've just got to make them unbelievabley cheap, as you say a newish car with 100k is hard work but not a 10 year old one, never had a problem with red cars, yes back in the day no one wanted white cars, I remember hearing aid beige Vauxhall, they were bizarre, we'd call BL russet Brown, gusset Brown, I can't stand cars being stuck, I like em to go before their 2nd wash, last year only car that stuck was a 19 plate c3 with 110k,but 1 owner and proper main dealer history, I ended up blowing on it after 3 mths, but what a nice car, I'm like Dave, always would go for high miles, late car with fsh, but maybe it's a trader thing?

Following on from what you are saying about high mileage stuff....I have just mentioned a Fiesta I've got in my latest video, silver, 5 door, zetec, 1.2, 1 owner, 42k miles, 10 plate under autotrader guide price at £4695 and haven't had a sniff, where as I think if it had 60-70k miles at £3995 it would have gone. So older, low mileage stuff can be hard to sell because it can look expensive because of the mileage.

Your right! Old cars low mileage can stick around, like the scenic we took in part ex…still here….60k miles on older cars is the magic formula! Right price, sensible mileage equals a quick sale

For red read 'poverty spec' 😂 I've had 3 red cars: 1978 Ford Escort Mk2 1.3 Pop, 1989 Ford Fiesta 1.6S and a 1997 Nissan Primera 2.0 GX. The Escort definitely was poverty spec, the Fiesta was sporty so red was okay (back then) and the Primera was Hobson's Choice but we got a good deal on it. Would I choose red now? No!!

I think some model cars look better in red!! Could be just my opinion but my Astra J vxr looked fab in red I thought. Another in red I like is Honda NSX but that's in the £100k bracket!

Had a red golf for sale. Cheapest on net but just can’t seem to shift. Been 6 months plus and normally I don’t have cars longer than a few weeks. I think red is just jinxed

Always take pics of red cars about hAlf a hour before dusk and make sure no reflections or shadows and then they pop, do not take pics in strong sunlight

I always had this fault process high milliage cars over 100k is not high miles,how ever how i see it is the last owners have have spent the most money on it to keep it going so most issues would be sorted 🤔

Yea same! I also thought if I buy more expensive cars I’d get nicer part exes but doesn’t always work out like that! There no rhyme or reason to this job!

A dealer in the early noughties near me if he had a car on the pitch that wasn't selling, he said to me that he sent it to another trader mate of his In a different area and usually it sold. As he said some makes and colours go better in different areas of the country.

Guessing this is why i didn't get a reply when i offered you my 2015 red mercedes A class was actually a really really clean car service at main dealer by 6 services rest specialist anyway got a really good deal on px in for my new one anyway no issues 👍 Just Thought might of given you abit of stock

On auto trader people put say up to 100k on the search so miss the leggy stuff, I find anyway, also people think it's 1982 and a cars knackered at 100k,buyers are very conservative, anything scares them off.

Haha! anything that we’ve bought really well! But if I was to say one car! it would be a 6 to 10 year old focus with less than 60k at around £5k to £7k….flys out!
