Drone pilots should organize flash requests. Where they flood a restrictive community with a ton of requests at once. So, the local politics will get tired of dealing with that and create more practicable rules.

I'd like to add a supplement I live in Las Vegas. Las Vegas is really restrictive. you may not launch from a public right of way such as a sidewalk or street in Las Vegas. You may not launch in a park or the parking lot of a park in Las Vegas. Further Las Vegas Metro Police dept has some form of tracking system they've been working with, it's experimental but they're very aware with or without remote ID, of launched drones and they do enforcement. When the F1 race was here, they busted a guy within about 10 minutes of a launch from one of the casino parking lots.

I disagree with the discussion comment about Texas Drone laws; the Texas Statute, HB 1643, passed in 2017-2018, specifically made local control (political subdivisions; i.e. counties, cities, etc) null and void in controlling where drones can take off and fly. Read the Statute; in regards to privacy, the Statute states it is illegal to fly a drone “WITH THE INTENT OF SURVEILLANCE”, the word is “INTENT”; Texas is a very friendly place to fly. An example is the Tower of the Americas, in downtown San Antonio is in G Airspace, a recreational pilot can fly in in downtown as well as the tower up to 400’ WITHOUT any authorization, and a Part 107 Pilot can fly the Tower to 1150 feet AGL, perfectly legal and without any prior authorization. These are just 2 simple locations about flying drones in Texas. legiscan.com/TX/bill/HB1643/2017 Texas also allows wild hogs to be hunted with drones, 24 hrs a day, and with no hunting permit, as of November, 2023

Here in the state of Nevada they tell me I have to fly over private property of 250ft. I get they want to protect people and their privacy, but what the state of Nevada doesn’t get that they do not control the skies. The FAA and the federal government does. According to the FAA you are permitted to fly your drone over private property above 83’ and then 50 feet above any rooftops. When a state makes a law like this and it conflicts with a Federal Law. The Federal law takes sovereignty over the state law. I know states and cities can give you grief on where you are permitted to take off and land, but they do not control the skies above and do not take precedence over federal law. They can make life at Warren G. Hearty a living hell. 😂
