I completely agree, there is only one way to play Titan really and that’s not the case for other classes. They’ve let SO MANY broken Hunter exotics go unchecked but our exotics get nerfed almost always immediately and it’s nerfed into the ground. I think the blatant bias is extremely frustrating and I seriously considered deleting D2 when I saw the trailer of the Strand Titan. I wish larger KZbinrs also spoke on this because so many of them claim to be Titan mains.

I always play titan. This is how I roll now: riptide with chill clip, either blinding grenade launcher, trace rifle or forbearance with chain reaction, the Lament. Abeyant leap, 100 resilience, 80 recov, 100 discipline, the rest 30 or higher. Fragments: mind, warding, continuity and generation. Shackle grenade. Some essential mods Solar siphon, heavy finder 2x bolstering detonation Lucent blade, melee and consuccive resist. 2 solar surge and 1 solar Scavenger. Time dilation, reaper. Keep woven mail up 100% of the time and kill everything with lament. This build easily kills all champions and most bosses no problem. Have run master raid, master NF, legend dares. This build allowed me to absolutely slay😮 AND I really enjoy it. It's fun. Strand hunter can make a similar build with the new helmet. But is slightly worse than titan. In PVP, Peacekeepers, wishender and shayuras wrath. That's all you need to know 🙂

As a warlock main whose been using mainly starfire since the solar rework last year I am amazed at how long it's been able to avoid a nerf. Like every major update I read the patch notes and expect to see a nerf to starfire and I never do. I know it's coming at some point, it's only a matter of time, and I will continue to use and abuse it until that day comes.

@@bannedmann4469 They give away every class's abilities to everyone else. Void detonators used to only be on Sentinel and only on abilities as well, and now Hunters can use them with a 100% uptime. Well of Radiance made Ward of Dawn irrelevant. It took them until Shadowkeep to give Weapons of Light back to bubble, which used to have a higher damage buff than well. Team comps used to run well AND bubble because well still had insane healing. Then they nerf the damage buff to match well, making bubble completely irrelevant again. And don't forget that Dawnblade is a carbon copy of Hammers with better mobility and projectile tracking.

Fully agree, then I make a glaive synthoceps build, I grind all the armor and the winterbite, and you know what happened. Winterbite disabled in raids and dungeons, then synthoceps nerfed 😂😂😂. I was truly mad then.

@Alex Orrick it was too strong just like heart of inmost light. But instead of bringing it into line. By for example nerfing the damage from +200% to for example +125% they nerf it to +50%. I tested it and it actually does less damage than an unpowered melee now 🙂. Swing speed is a bit faster but still. The way bungie balances damage is by. The further the range the less damage it does. So for a melee weapon it should have the most damage right. According to bungie logic. But now I run around with the Lament and I'm still happy. I just want to melee things. And cherry on top was after it was brought back into the game and synthoceps nerfed. The bug which made bungie disable it isn't even fixed. It's still not fixed right now I'm sure.

I absolutely agree. I barely play any other class except Titan, and I know that Titan's kit sucks. I made a list a while ago, and I want to make it again. My opinion on the best class for every activity. PvE: 1. Warlock 2. Hunter 3. Titan PvP: 1. Hunter 2. Titan (only because of shotgun apeing with Anteaus and Dunemarchers, but if I had to guess, this will disappear too). 3. Warlock Edit: I thought about this for a while, and I realized that the only subclass that has the option to use HOIL without it being required in PvE and Dunemarchers in PvP. That subclass is Strand. 1/5 Subclasses of Titans are good in PvP and PvE without an exotic. The rest of it is bad.

Nah dawg this ranking is wild😂. I main hunter, but play all classes a decent amount. And as a hunter main and a PvP player, I can say that hunters are not the best pvp class by a good bit. And in high level PvP are probably the weakest for one main reason, their class ability doesn’t let them “take space”. Titan and Warlocks have walls and rifts to deny space to the other team and make blindly pushing a bad idea. Hunters have to such ability. I will not deny that the dodge is strong and has its uses, but in high level PvP it does not provide as used as the barricade and rift. Warlocks are also very strong in PvP bc they have the best movement tech in the game, and should be at the top. I do think hunters could be put over titan for general PvP use but not competitively.

@@orangeisabadcolor strongly agree - there needs to be different tier lists for new PvP players/PvE players occasionally playing PvP and for regular PvP players. For competitive use, titans and warlocks are almost equally good - I'd say knockout/lightning nade titan and solar warlock are each incredible in pretty much all manners of play. Hunter is an obvious 3rd for the reasons you said

@@PocketTuna took me a bit but here it is sorry I’m at work. Anyways basics it’s an aggressive healing build. The more you kill, the more you heal. Aspects: Controlled Demolition Bastion Fragments Echo of Expulsion Echo of Vigilance Echo of Instability(when the season ends mind you) or optionally use echo of Starvation Melee shield bash or throw it’s your choice but the bash works fine. Mods Helmet: Special ammo finder Void siphon x2 Or Void and kinetic siphon. Arms Firepower x3 Chest Emergency reinforcement Harmonic/Void reserved Unflinching void aim Legs Void weapon surge Harmonic holster x2 Mark Font of Restoration Bomber x2 Seasonal mods Volatile flow Bricks from beyond Void weapon channeling authorized mods: Void Any void weapons work just get grenade kills and pick up any orbs and go wild. Personally I would use wavesplitter given it works on two different types of champions. After you pick up an orb. And with the other half if you have Repulsor Brace you can get and keep overshields just switch out the ammo finder. Grenades i would recommend scatter because it gets the larger area of effect but suppressor works also just keep in mind, it can effect friendly still(magically that bug never got fixed bungie hmmm) I would recommend 100 resistance because the barrier comes back super fast and you will get an oversheild each time. But just play super aggressive. Can use any void exotic armor’s, but not required.

As a Titan Main who's dabbled with the Warlock, I feel that Warlocks being bad without Starfire is Gross Hyperbole. I'll get this out of the way though, first: Arc Warlocks are garbo, I won't even argue that. Void Warlocks are still rather strong due to their many forms of access to Devour, but Nova Bomb needs to see a damage touch up of approximately 33% to 50%. (To bring it somewhat in line with Needlestorm, and make it worth it despite the detriments either form of Nova Bomb brings. (Slowva blocks your shots, Vortex obstructs vision.)) And I have no opinions on Stasis, they seem fine. But Solar Warlock and Strand Warlock are crazy good right now, and a lot more flexible than they first appear. I'll only talk about Solar, which is relevant to Starfire, rather than Strand, as I still am not 100% on Strand and want to be sure I know what I'm talking about with it properly before I talk about it. It does feel incredibly strong, but whether that is a Honeymoon Phase, Titan Envy, or just Strand Warlocks being that strong, I do not yet know. Anyways, Solar. People call Solar a One trick Pony BECAUSE of Starfire, however, there's a lot more to consider with what makes Solar Warlocks actually good, or at the very least, better than people assume. As of this season, Solar Warlocks are better than ever. Firesprites add a nice bit of flavor to the subclass and already existing Fragments, Phoenix Dive is actually good now, and it's now easier than ever to create Ability Loops with the Subclass. And they were already pretty good; Heat Rises allowed and still allows, to create ability looping builds where you can constantly throw out your Melees, Grenades, and now have Constant Uptime of Restoration ×2, Touch of Flame is still strong as ever, and Icarus Dash is still useful, however you're less likely to want this in PvE content usually, unless you're sporting Rain of Fire. Speaking of; Solar Warlock Exotics. They're pretty good. Dawn Chorus allows for triple Scorch Damage, allows you to cause Ignitions with Daybreak, and can help clean up your Melee Spam builds. It's not particularly strong, but it does its job solidly well. Sunbracers feel cleaner this season, thanks to the Mod System Rework, and Solar Grenades are still pretty solid with Touch of Flame. Rain of Fire is rather incredible for utility; Icarus Dash turns into a Reloading Dodge with a 4 second cooldown, Fusion kills provide Radiant, and Airborne effectiveness is increased on Fusions. The Reload every 4 seconds is reason alone to run Rain of Fire; the utility for Damage Phases cannot be understated. And of course, there's Starfire Protocol, which needs no introduction. Even if Starfire Protocol were to be nerfed, that's still 3 Exotics unique to the Solar Subclass that are rather strong, which is about as many options as Titans have for all of their Subclasses overall, not even accounting for the other good Warlock Exotics that can be used to great effect on any subclass, and as such on Solar, such as Verity's Brow and Necrotic Grips. Solar Warlocks will not get the greatest out of a couple of viable options with a Starfire nerf, however, they'll still be pretty damn strong without it. Can't say the same for Arc Warlock though, which at present feels like a Warlock equivalent to Stasis Titan.

The main reason I said it was because of the super low amount of warlocks in pvp and I’ve seen vids on how hunters and titans can use a warlock play style very easily and at times better than warlocks themselves. Like I said before I am fairly new so I’m basing these statements off of yt not necessarily my own playtime so take what I say with a grain of salt. One other thing tho, I’m sort of a titan main but from what I can see titans are getting hella nerfed and hunters can do things like go invis, get over shield, have strand shield(can’t remember what it’s called), and everything else that titans and warlocks can do. So I’m just wondering if hunter is the class to play because it can adopt ant play style through their abilities

Hunter and Warlock have a lot of variability in play style while Titan mainly only has punching focused things. So keep that in mind in terms of entertainment value. Also keep in mind I’ve been a Titan main since D1, so it’ll take you a while before my gripes with the class become apparent to you

You are wrong as hell, in any point the most closet thing to being (OP) is Dawnblade Warlock it have everything in PVE and PVP that is the ultimate subclass, Well, Daybreak (got buff), celestial fire have so much tracking like is ridiculous, all the nades with (Touch of flame) basically make them dumb good like for example solar nade in 3v3 is great to keep enemies coming from specific door because how much AoE they have, again well having the fastest with bubble cooldown in PVP, for 3v3 is beyond stupid and in events like Iron banana is just 3 or 4 warlocks with wells holding points......like I understand Hunters are great but compare to Warlocks you need to put effort in some cases, in fact Titans are way better then Hunter for example Striker A.K.A Unga bunga is just dumb with Dunemarchers and just go and get away with double or triple kill like nothing....at least in PVP all of them are (close) in PVE is when I see how garbage Titans are sadly. Been a warlock for 5 years now and can honestly say that well was the worst thing to happen to the class. it just made everything else irrelevant because, when the best option is also the most useful and easiest to use why run anything else? I mean void is strong this season so not many people complain when you run it but if you want to do anything end game 99% of players will rather have a well. Strand was a novelty with the whole infinite suspend necrotic grips, but the thing is the other 2 do it much better since warlock's kit is not meant to lean into suspend since threadlings are meant to be their whole thing but they just don't get the job done at higher levels the super is good but it still gets outclassed by every hunter super so strand its not super relevant. Running arc will actually get you kicked most of the time, and while I enjoy it it does feel lacking since you don't do enough dmg to compensate for the low survivability. Stasis on top of being powercrept by suspend is in a rough spot while the turret build is still good and can kind of replace suspend but in raids, dungeons and even most other end game content most would rather have a wellock since a strand titan or hunter can do just as much cc and are not potatoes for the rest of the game. Since well exists this problems get minimized with the mind set "you're gonna be running well anyway ." I get warlock is meant to be more support oriented than the other 2, but the other half of the character is meant to be a magician, so why is it that when you cast your literal collapsing star blackhole looking thing it does 1/3 of the dmg of a bunch of flameing knives. tl;dr: Well is synonymous with warlock , to the point the rest of the class is neglected, and I wish something else was viable without getting shit from your team.

I think it's a playerbase problem. Everyone always complain about all the other classes. Everyone says that their class is the most hated. If you think about it, every class is viable and has powerful pvp and pve builds. The meta is always changing, and every time one meta is smacked down it's always "Bungie hates our class! Look at all the things other classes have!" Stop acting like your class is so under powered. Get a new build, change your playstyle, try different weapons. Fun fact number 2: titans are most creative players because they are forced to think on their way to outclass other classes. And yes, damage gets bigger with threadling damage fragment. And you can do even more by adding an unravel effect before supering with melee.

I'm not a super hardcore destiny 2 player i play a lot of d2 I've played d1 as well. so if I'm wrong let me know but i think titan needs a whole rework of his kit. i don't think just nerfing everything will make it better/balanced me being just a guy who plays titan and main's him i really don't like whats happening to this class. I get melee is fun at times but having a whole setup made for melee in pvp/pve it's in my opinion fun sometimes but not all the time i also find the melee is not always viable in high end content sure it can work but the stomp that the bosses/raid bosses do pushes you away wasting your super. but that's just me a semi casual player who loves to play titan and d2 and d1 but. if your going to make us just melee give titan's a buff or a rework for our exotic's and our melee ability's.that's all i play this game for fun and it disappointment's me to watch my favourite class go down in flame's.

I feel like Destiny exotics as a whole need to be tuned way down. Too much focus has been placed onto them and their effects and many other aspects of builds go under appreciated. Don’t get me wrong, I love a fun exotic armor piece, but that’s all it should be imo. Fun. NEEDING to run one specific exotic because it’s just so much more effective than everything else makes build so incredibly stagnant and repetitive.

Sucks how titans need exotics in order to be good while bungie only ever puts heavy nerfs into ‘outlying’ exotics (aka exotics with a high usage rate bc that’s all bungie ever looks at), with all of the good Titan exotics having high usage rates because they’re the only thing that make Titan good. Yep, titan’s kits are atrocious and work only with exotics, plus clown ass devs are constantly nerfing the only good ones. I started to use other classes a while ago, but after they gutted HoiL in Lightfall (it’s still useful, but only cos it’s a titan exotic and you have pretty much nothing else, but on my warlock or hunter I wouldn’t even look in the direction of HoiL), I just swapped to warlock completely, only using titan to get my raid/dungeon drops. Edit. And a fucking joke about melee class. Like why the fuck you call titan the melee class and give him the shittiest melee abilities? I’m especially baffled by strand. Warlock’s melee does the same or even more dmg, considering unravel, has less cooldown and it’s ranged. How it’s better in literally every department and titan is the melee class???

The titan subclass should definitively and objectively have more defensive subclasses rather than assault subclasses, like that's the hunters job specially dbps wise, titans should have something a little similar to the warlock to where it's not an arc soul but it's an actual turret that doesn't go away and you can repair it for [ DEFENSIVE PURPOSES ] and carry it around, that should of been either strand titan or arc titan.

GUYS PSA Starfire Protocol is getting a nerf. Instead of being able to get a free grenade every 2 seconds it will be changed to one every 8. This was from the most recent investors meeting where certain exotic items ended up being discussed. Ngl im so happy its getting a nerf (as a warlock main). From someone who plays hunter in D2 and in D1, warlocks we’re the most broken class in the game. From exotics to abilities. Being able to stormcall on enemies and lasting so damn long it wasn’t funny. Sure warlocks took a hit but it took years for Bungie to do anything. Same for titans. And it wasn’t just “out of being busy.” They have always had love for warlocks. In D1 they gave warlocks some of the most broken exotics and weapons. Anyone remember Tlaloc from TTK? Disgustingly broken. And titans and hunters didn’t get anything as powerful as that. The gun increased your damaged as long as you had full super. It would be considered a 180 or 200RPM. As big as the majority of hunters there are, we all know bungie favors Warlocks the most. They had to tone down warlocks out of people finding out that they favor a specific class.

Well I have been a Titan player since D1 I may have not played D1 that much but I can still tell that the Titan felt much more fun in D1. In D2 Bungie doesnt even give a single fuck about Titans (sometimes) I mean there have been some good buffs too, but the buffs got mostly reverted or were so much neeeded, that they stayed but werent even good enough to keep up (Stasis Titan is still bad and slow with the melee(super ist still fast with sliding, dont get me wrong)). All that is viable on Titan rn is Solar and maybe Arc for Dps, but the rest is literally just not good Void Titan: Bubble doesnt even exist for this Community and Sentinel isnt the best ad clear super with the shield throw and the melee has nothing special attached to it. Arc Titan: Rocket is the only useful thing here and Chaosfists are just basic melee, no special movement or attacks outside of melees. Solar Titan: Is the only Super which doesnt have to run into an enemies face to deal damage and sunspots make it something special but still missing something. Strand: Idk feels like arc titan in better rn but only in chaosfists perspective. This is how I see Titans rn. You may see it different than me.

I don’t think any class should be the Best I feel like every class brings a certain element to the game while it sometimes seems as if bungle is using favoritism I play all 3 classes and I love all 3 I don’t personally think 1 is better while most hunter builds are focused on soloing some content there’s some that are good for teams titans are the same they preform well on their own and sometimes struggle in team settings with good teammates, it’s the opposite for warlock most builds preform well in endgame content with teams. What I’m trying to say here is I think all 3 classes are good in certain situations and not in a niche way either

I think people in the comments and OP need to play all the classes more. I have all 3 and I actually have good gear on all 3. Hunter has always been my main, but I can run any content with any class and it doesn't really impact my time to complete. I dunno if everyone really understands making a build, which leads to thinking one class is better than the other. When I inspect people, I see trash and stuff that doesn't work together. This is after say battlegrounds and I wonder why the person was dying so much lol.

Hoil is not that good. It was super strong but after the nerf. Its nothing crazy. I keep watching all these void titan build where they use hoil and it makes me kinda angry. Hoil is not needed on those builds. Seriously make one of those builds and swap out hoil for anything. Even a legendary chest piece. You wont notice a difference. But that is just void. I have been using a precious scars void build that is actually insane. If for some reason devour isn't up, you're healing, revive a teammate... healing and overshield, looking cool? nah stupid helmet.

Good points but I'd have to disagree about destiny being easy at least not in the way you imply here , destiny overall is an pretty easy game lots of abilities and supers can be crutches for alot of people but I think the skill ceiling and skill floor is alot bigger then most give it credit for. Trails is a good example I know players who played for years and never have gotten flawless and maybe never will while others ca. Literally carry a deadweight tea mate and still go flawless.. that has to mean something you put the best players against any avg players and a guarantee you they won't win a set maybe not even a round co.pare that to a game like Mario kart doesn't matter how good you are I got a lighting bolt, a blue shell and a star while you get 3 bananas in a row your gonna lose I'm not saying destiny should be some competitive I'd for other games to look up too but if games like overwatch and even league of legends cam be considered good competitive games then destiny could easily be as well Sorry rant over

In D1… the introduction of the Hammer of Sol, was the Titans first ever chance at becoming a force in PVE/PVP… it got nerfed the following weekly update. Bungie favors the Warlock and it’s not even close. The warlock has been a walking cheat code since Destiny 1.

Warlocks are the first class to get nerfed when it comes to exotics. The only reason Starfire is taking so long for a nerf, is because it's never been good up until Solar 3.0, Titans and Hunters only ever get nerfed after a year or more have passed and if you dont believe me, go check the Forsaken era of Destiny, when Shards would give full super energy on 2 kills, One-eyed Mask letting you one shot anyone. Titans and Hunters are finally getting their time in the nerf sun-light and us Warlocks are loving every second.

When you rely on your tools, more than your ability to play, your tools will get you killed. I am a titan main and have been since launch of destiny one. They can Nerf everything into the ground as far as I'm concerned because what really matters is your ability to play the game. Not stand out in the open and then complain that you got killed. The only reason nerfs happen is because kids want easy Street, they don't want to have to work for it. I can run with no exotics, and it doesn't change how I play.

Bro who let you cook. Titans are best in PvP. Barricade is the best class ability. Rift gets you killed. And dodge doesn't have the utility. Shoulder charge is a movement ability not a melee, allowing you to 3 peek all the time and move fast, plus break ankles. Lightning nades with jolt are crazy. T crash is tier 3 or 4 and bubble is the most competitive super. Well was hit too hard. In Pve Titans have mid exotics and can't compete because of that tho😅

I’m sorry but you cannot say Titan is garbage. You said hunters have one hit ranged melees. There is only 1 in the entire game, the weighted knife. And it got severely nerfed Yes you’re right, hunters have everything base kit, but they have nothing to enhance their abilities, unlike titans who can make very strong builds with the use of the right exotic. Do you also forget that shoulder charges took 7 years to not one shot a guardian? Titans have: Knock-out, juggernaut, sunspots, controlled demo, bastion, the stasis slide I forget the name of. All of these abilities are quite unbalanced and allow for titans to easily overcome their opponent through zero use of skill Hunters have a toolkit more set around skill.
