I'm pretty excited for this army, it's going to be getting built and started on in the painting station once I finish up my nids, and I am hoping that I have a couple thousand points of "general purpose" models so that when 11th gets announced I can paint up whatever is going to be useful in the index, because I can't lie, playing Custodes Tyranids and Deathguard this edition is starting to lose its luster a bit, looking forward to busting out Guard, GSC and World Eaters next edition!

I'd argue that Biosantic Broodsurge, with its emphasis on Purestrains (infiltrating, advance and charge) and the enhancement to give another unit infiltrate as well (hello infiltrating unit of 10 Aberrants and Abominant) deserved to be better than "OK" in the speed category, but overall good video, really enjoyed hearing your reasoning behind everything

Hey Christian, for a player like myself whos very new to GSC specifically, with the new battleforce box and the new combat patrol, what would be some recommended units to get to fill out my army and also what would be a solid detachment to play? I was thinking the abominant specific one since I got 10 aberants and some purestrains but also thought the index would be an ok all rounder as well. Thanks

both of those detachments will work well for the models you have. If you enjoy the Biosanctic broodsurge, building the metamorphs in the combat patrol as acolytes with mining weapons is best and then get a Biophagus. Kitbashing optional: kzbin.info/www/bejne/eojSooygbp13j9Usi=9qCXdMwtn88ZYati If you get a cult truck, that works well for moving units closer to the enemy (and it gives you 3 spare models for kitbashing)

I think from buying standpoint even with the combat patrol the outriders detachment is the worst. 5 men outrider unit is only 90 points and you need like 2x10 bare minimum for that detachment. So thats 4 combat patrol box and after that you restrict yourself to play only that because probably you wont use outriders in any other deatchments. Atm I think overall GSC is in a very bad spot to start collecting. Dang, sometimes I just realise how expensive this faction is :D

This army is bloody awful if you didn’t get a bunch of copies of the old Combat Patrol, but honestly 3-4 copies of the old box, the battleforce and a few of the new patrol and your basically just looking at characters and a few odd boxes to get a reasonably competitive army in any detachment
