It is my hope that the bond between Khanyisa and beautiful Timisa will grow ever stronger, with Kumbura, Tokwe, Lundi and Bubi close by in the Homestead at night. Curious Limpopo no doubt will be right there to check things out with Pisa. Can't wait to see this! It'll be interesting to see the sleeping arrangements and surely in time everyone will come to be comfortable in their respective places. I just love it when Adine speaks Afrikaans to Meisiekind. I always stay up to wait for my nightly HERD video to drop before going to bed and once again they never disappoint it’s almost 30 minutes of peaceful grazing out in the bush with the beautiful ladies Braveheart is never short on company and protection Adine zooming in for closeups on the beautiful faces of the family are absolutely some of my favorites particularly when they involve Sunshines perfect blue eyes that look directly into your heart. I absolutely cannot believe that it’s nearly time for Princess to make the big move full time with the herd what a huge milestone that just reminds me of exactly how much time I’ve been here on this incredible journey Khanyisa’s been on wow,from utterly sobbing at the first glimpse of the hurt broken sick baby I saw laughing as she discovered her legs,joy and love as she fit into the herd and learned all about being an elephant;it sure has been one wild roller coaster ride with this girl I am so glad I’ve been here for it all!! It’s just another step in the life of this precious unique soul who captured my heart and took it for an adventure I won’t forget thank you team for deciding to enrich all of our lives with the herd and giving us a look into just how incredible these souls truly are.🐘🐘❤️❤️

HERD will always be open to other calves though I’m glad none are in need currently and I hope it doesn’t happen anytime soon just because of the trauma and the affects of loss that can be so detrimental to a little elephants well-being trauma and pain weather it be physically or emotionally can absolutely ravage them it can almost take them to the brink.❤️❤️

It's so very sad that these magnificent animals are hunted because mankind is selfish, pathetic and disgusting!!! It is a dream of mine that one day Elephants will be able to roam free without the worry of being poached. How can poaching be stopped? HERD and ENP are getting full and hopefully still be able to take in Ellie's, large and small. Khanyisa is the most gorgeous and intelligent elephant I didn’t see ever !! where is this little tiny baby !! ! She becomes so tall and is able to do everthing foraging digging swimming !! using her trunk very well ! She amazes me on every next video !! Khanyisa is the true happiness and love among the HERD !! There were a lot of rumbles at the begining of the video It was clear that some of those gentle giants have missed Adine especially little miss Sunshine I love to see the two little Tuskers together Thank you for those beautiful close-ups I always found Timisa so pretty with her laughing eyes It is such a beautiful story that our three younger orphans Kumbura Timisa and Khanyisa have been so well integrated in the Herd that they have become independant young cows who are feeling good about themselves and open to the others This Herd is really fantastic ! This is also due to the outstanding personnalities that make up the Herd wonderful Matriarch Tokwe, best friend Lundi, Gentleman Fishan, big brother Jabulani, dominant bull Sebakwe and the young allomothers Bubi, Limpopo Klasserie, young friend Pisa, mischevious young bulls Mambo & Zindoga and our quiet and independant two deans Somopane and Dame Setombe

I’m hoping she will go with Lundi, Mambo and Jabulani. Jabulani was the first elephant to welcome her and of course her adoptive mom is Lundi. So that would be perfect for her. Plus I am hoping they will move Kumbura from Tokwe’s area to Lundi’s since they are bonding so beautifully out in the field. That would truly be a wonderful sleeping group. I missed the first year and a half of Khanyisa's story but i still sob my heart out for what she's been through and so happy to see how far this brave little baby has come. 💖💖💖 I am so happy that she is going to sleep with her family where she will also be well taken care of.... but goodness it's hard to know she won't be in the nursery anymore with her Carer, Lammie, Nungu and sweet potatoe treats.

Khanyisa has really improved her foraging skills since last winter. Her trunk is so much stronger. That baby has grown! I hate to see beautiful Tokwe’s tusks getting chipped. Mambo needs to leave the fighting for the boys but he recently fought his mama too so he is pretty rambunctious. Maybe he needs another night out with the wild elephants. 😂

On the photo with Timisa and Khanyisa sharing Trunk to Trunk, was Priceless as many others. When Towke shared her branch with Khanysa, as the little one took it out of her mouth, was memorable. When Khanyisa was younger, I can remember she used to nudge Timisa all the time and Timi just let her continue to nudge. Someone called her a little pest and a mosquito (Lol) . I could go on forever, especially the care she received, when she first arrived. I realty didn't think she was going to make it. Dr Rogers was always there at a split second with his Techs. The Carers were all so giving. Now Khanyisa's Mama Adine, is a story in itself. She adopted Khanyisa as her own. We are all going to be SAD when the Big move comes. I believe she will start with Bubi, Timi, and Fishan, and switch off to Towke and Kumbura, until she is comfortable. For all we know, she may want to return to the Nursery with Stavros, Herman, Khensani, Lammie, the other sheep, and last but not least, her Human Mama Adine. I will truly miss all the videos at the Nursery. ❤️❤️❤️🐘🐘🐘🐑🐑🐑🚶‍♂️🚶‍♂️🚶‍♂️🧎‍♀️

These videos bring so much joy to my heart; I start off watching them and thinking of all the comments I want to say and then, so many cute things happen, I forget what I wanted to say. Love the way Khanyisa comes running to see Adine. Love her two hind legs stuck together as Adine rubs her and talks to her. Love the emotion in Adine’s voice as she talks to each one and they all respond. Love the way the carers take care of Adine; telling each Ellie ‘Easy’ as she approaches them. I understand Adine’s enthusiasm and love to see each one makes her rush forward sometimes, so, carers are her guards. Love and blessings to you all for all you do. ❤️🐘❤️
