Seems like Ohlins is most suitable for racers - or at least riders that are pushing very hard. Watch Brian Cahal reviewes of Ohlins suspension, IMO he is giving very objective opinion on these.

I understand from lost co. öhlins review that in order to make the fork plush you need to take something out from the inside of the fork. Not spacers but something else. Throw that in the mix after Fox 38!

Had to check it, it was a negative chamber spacer on the lower leg. Removing it gives the fork more plush of the top feeling.

No it does not add setup difficulties. It is just, that Öhlins should leave the negative spacers out. All reviewers said, it is the best feeling and there is no use in decreasing the rxf negative chamber. This will add a large amount to the ride quality. Try again without neg spacers

These days I don’t think there is a bad fork, you just to learn what makes the fork tic. Working with a suspension tech makes this much easier.

I would be amazed if the DVO could touch the 38 or the Zeb. I had the Onyx SC, this forks predecessor, on a previous bike and frankly it was not great. DVO quality control is very suspect, especially now that it's been exposed that they're having Suntour make their forks for them. Every review of the Ohlins I've seen basically says, get this fork if you're a world cup racer looking to extract every ounce of performance, but overkill for most riders. I have a 38 and have ridden several Zebs and both forks have amazing small bump compliance, the 38 also takes big hits extremely well.

Ohlins forks are made by X fusion for what I understand, high end individual production.

Especccially the zeb is highly overrated. The dvo is better. Clearly what a friend of me, me and many tuner say, the charger 3 is actually worse than the c2. they pulled the Trick to get more Support by using this strange secondary piston but also introduced more harshness. If the Dvo is even better for hard riding than the öhlins 38, it is for sure better than the fox and zeb. Only because they have the largest Promotion Budget and you read about them everywhere it does not mean rs and fox are the best

It was never a secret that DVO are made by Suntour. They are still completely different products, that's like saying all bike frames are the same because they are made in the same factory in Taiwan. That would be stupid.

@@alexbiketester And x-Fusion top forks are of good quality. Their air springs from the previous Generation are just bad Designs. Their next forks will also have self equalizing air springs. And in contrast to suntour the xfusion offerings are pretty Light referring to their stiffness/weight ratio

@@Doc-Swiss One thing I have noticed across all 38 forks I have tried. You can not feel the weight or Chassis stiffness when riding. That is only something that can be measured on a machine.

Of course this is a valid point. The 38 is designed for ebikes... basically. you dont need a 38 on a non ebike.
