i actually believe winona and walani would clash. i think walani would see winona as an uptight workaholic and winona would see walani as lazy and unreliable. it's not like they would fight or anything, but definitely tension between the two of them

If dls characters would be added to the main land i like to imagine that they communicated with eachother by using divining rods from adventure mode and then with Wagstaff's instructions they would all craft telebrellas and teleport to him where he will build his own postern to the main land

I feel like Warbucks might get along with Wilson because he can transmute gold, and Wigfrid/Wheeler for their adventurous spirits. He may also get along with Winona on the basis she might be able to improve his blunderbuss. As for the kids, 'famous uncle' vibes. He'd probably be weirded out by the monster kids Webber, Wurt, and Wilba but would still see them as kids and thus not hold too much of a prejudice. For Wormwood, I could see him being skeptical but altogether not antagonistic, and he'd probably talk a lot with Wickerbottom like you mentioned. He'd want to blow off Maxwell's face with his blunderbuss for sure, probably one of the darker quotes in the game following such an interaction. I could also see him having a unique quote for Wilba and Woodie in their various states of transformation. Something along the lines of: "What a fascinating creature!" or "By george what have we here?!", something that screams of excitement or curiosity like he wants to study them. I came up with a few quotes for his various wereforms. Goose: Such a majestic creature. (or) Tally ho Jesus Goose! (as a nod to the fans) Beaver: Looks like you don't need an axe anymore. Moose: Great scott! Such strength, such endurance, if only I could study it longer. For Wilba he might say something like: "You poor thing, I was only joking." Implying that he had some bit of possible racial tension between Wilba being a monster kid and wishing her to succumb to some sort of darker entity, only for it to actually happen and for him to feel bad and remorseful over his aberrant language.

Possible Character Idea: I feel Warbucks would be that one dickheaded uncle in the DST world who prides himself on his explorative side and has a keen interest on studying the creatures of the world. Perhaps that could be a DST Gimmick for him. He starts with a magnifying glass and his blunderbuss, as well as 5 gunpowder already in hand. As he explores and learns more about the creatures by say, killing X amount of them based on their difficulty level, he could learn more about them like weaknesses or improving drop rates. If he's meant to be a money hungry hunter, perhaps he can also trade certain other drops with Pig King like silk and spider glands, or beefalo wool for the king to repair his hat with and the king would actually accept trade with him beyond meat and trinkets. After he kills something like 100 Butterflies, 50 rabbits, 100 spiders, 20 beefalo, 30 hounds/hound variants, and 2-3 boss kills, he'd learn how to exploit their loot more effectively by getting extra meat or guaranteeing at least 1 meat drop from each or at least improving the odds. So with spiders it's a 33% chance for either of their 3 drops, but perhaps after he researches them enough he gets an extra 10-15% chance to proc a double drop on the loot, causing the loot table to roll a second time and pick another item or drop the same item twice. He could also probably make use of Walter's gunpowder rounds instead of straight gunpowder with some quote like: What fine craftsmanship that young lad has", because it'd be far easier and cheaper for him to use Walter's rounds vs straight gunpowder in his blunderbuss.

I feel like Warbucks might have worked as a character if he really only did took the colonist job in persuit of another passion, like being a Naturalist at heart. This would make it more of a relief to him to be in the gang as it gives him plenty of time to study the Constant which will likey put him on good terms with Wilson and Winifred, but he'll likey be very interested in what Wagstaff has to say.

GOD That would have been so much better! When making this video I was able to play him thanks to them never actually removing him from Hamlet, and even after his quotes got reworked (Oh my god they used to be bad) he's still kinda dull. So going from adventurer (We already have Wheeler for that one) to naturalist would have made him both way more interesting, and acceptable. I might have to mention this when I do a Warbucks video.

I also read a fic recently about Wilba and Warbucks!! Wilba looking up to both Wheeler and Warbucks for their tales in adventuring, perhaps Queen Malfalfa entrusting them to guide her with her adventuring. Plus some extra tension if you want to see Warbucks as a sort of reluctant father figure to Wilba, since no king is ever mentioned

I feel like Wheeler and Wigfrid would get along super great. Imagine them charging into battle together. Maybe she'd even find herself in a little friend group with Wigfrid and Willow and they'd hang out together. Also, I feel like Webber's love of pirates would make him follow Woodlegs around as often as he could. Maybe he would even ask Woodlegs to play pirates to get a taste of what real pirate life is like. Idk, just my thoughts.

I do feel rather bad for Warbucks, I think the old boy could have been fleshed out more if he wasn’t cut out of the game. I still really wonder why he was cut, a few of the other survivors have one note or stereotypical personalities so him being a cut and dry English explorer doesn’t feel offensive really.

A lot of his (now removed quotes) were less on the explorer side and more on the coloniser side! If you play as him nowdays by using commands they're all mostly removed, but before then.... Yeahhhhh. He would benefit from just a blank slate rewrite to be honest. Cool conceptially, but in practice it didn't turn out well.
