Save money and go with Sta Green 20.5-0-0 AMS or a cheap 10-10-10 for an AFFORDABLE price. Farm feed stores also have VERY fair priced 46-0-0 urea or 21-0-0 AMS. I simply refuse to pay for high dollar fert like all the Flagship products lol. In nearly all cases you will get the same results with an affordable urea or AMS.

Yes sir i 100% agree fertilizer is fertilizer and I do love that Sta green but it is a little pricey too.. my area is about $65.. I did get some Scotts 24-0-5 for $19.99 🎉

@@kainsarafan8190 A 40 lb bag of Sta Green 20.5-0-0 granular AMS is $25 at Lowes here in Indy. Rural King has a 50 lb bag of spray grade AMS for $13.99. All the Protene, Flagship, Anderson's PGF is so so overpriced. Nothing wrong with having our wallets and our yards to both have green in it right?

Shewey. You got my head a spinning with all that! Hoping to get my Flagship down tomorrow. We had sleet and rain all day yesterday and more rain on the way later today. Looks to be a good week coming baring any lights going out on say like Monday. Dulp.... Yeah tweaked my back in the pool this morning also so will be praying for both of us. [ Turmeric works great for that inflammation] Let the club do the talking. No need to kill it or yourself. LOL.. Have a blessed weekend!!!

I simply buy bags of fert that goes on clearance at Lowe’s or homdepot at the end of the year. Get 70% off vs pay 50 bucks plus for a 45 pound bag. I just by a bunch of bags at a time and it covers for me for the year. I use Scott’s, sta green, lesco, what ever is on sale. They all work great never had a bad expensive with any fert.

I really liked the JG Veri-Green. It spread easily and has a nice green up. Waiting to see how long the "bump" lasts.

I use home made compost, worm castings, biochar, and some feather meal, bone meal, and fish emulsion that are high in Nitrogen. This has worked perfectly along with seeding. I just mix it in a bin and but it in the spreader and throw it all out. I only add the fertilizer once in spring, middle of summer, and before winter in the fall. My yard is thriving and the soil is full of earthworms and microorganism keeping my my lawn fertile without extra need for fertilizer. I almost never have to apply weed killer either.

Well I renovated my front & back yard last year. Now that it's 80% survived the year, my plan is not to overseed until fall, & just fertilize to thicken it up. I still have Scott's Starter & winterguard fertilizers in my shed. I already used the Starter a few weeks ago on both yards. Then winterguard last week on backyard. Don't look at name, it's about the NPK. which is 32-0-10. But I got the Sta Green natural 3-in-1, got 1.25% humic & 1.25% kelp, that is 8-0-2, gonna put that down after Memorial Day to help lawn get through summer.

My lawn responds well to PGF complete from the Andersons. This will be my first year using a sprayer and liquid fert and bio-stim. Looking forward to trying Ecogel Multipurpose plus 4-0-2 with 3% Ca and 2.12% iron. It’s a combination of Hydretain®, SeaXtra® seaweed extract and macro and micronutrients

@@MrFergusonLawn I am following Pete’s Cool Season guide on a test portion of my lawn and wanted to find a comparable product to the now unavailable 5-0-5. I really didn’t want to have to buy the 20-0-0, 0-0-20, and iron supplement combo replacement. This seems to come pretty close, especially with the Ca and iron. Plus, with the Hydretain included, I assume I wouldn’t have to add any natural adjuvant? Idk, I am pretty new to all this lol

My go-to this season will be AMS. My pH is a tad high so I'm using the AMS to help lower it. I'm dissolving it and adding it to my tank mixes. I did 1/4lb along with my pre emergent and stims a couple weeks ago. Nice greenup. Probably sort of spoon feed a little each time I throw down some other stims. Going to try and go easy in the heat of summer and maybe just do Microgreens.

Fertilizer brand has never mattered to me as they all basically are the same. Granular size matters on how fast the fertilizer works. I focus on the soil nutrients the turf needs and how fast I need a product to act. On the golf course, we need very small particles to act fast. At home, I use larger size particles to so extend out how long one application lasts but also use a more organic program at home.

I used just liquid fertilizer along with several liquid soil nutrients most of last year and my lawn looked great, but when I applied one application of Sta Green Performance Max, it took it to the next level. So I’m using this combo again this year. I have Bermuda and Zoysia for my main lawn and Fescue in the back.

Like you, I've never bought a fertilizer and thought... this is crap, I've been playing around with different stuff, and I decided this year to roll with GCI Products. But I have for the past 2 years been wanting to try yard mastery. Last year, I used DEF, and it did awesome. It's just used up very fast, so you don't get a color pop for long. HYRBRIX, now that stuff is probably the best I've used, I just think it's overpriced. I got more into liquids last year, so I'm gonna go with GCI 20-0-0. I have his potassium and iron already. Anyway, that's a lot, keep it coming. Appreciate the DIY perspective

GCI was sold out of the Protene, so I went with the Yard Mastery Flagship. I got it down just before rain came. I think I’m seeing some results from it this week. I had a huge section of a Bradford Pear break off in my backyard a couple of days ago, so I have to get out and get it cut up and removed. Hopefully it didn’t do too much damage to the lawn.

Great video. I’ve had great success with Greenview fertilizer. I’m in the north and it’s out of Lebanon, PA. Believe it’s available Home Depot online. It contains macro’s & macro’s with quick and slow release. Don’t have to cut like crazy when you use Scott’s. It’s a good green!

Im sticking with propeat this year. Was really impressed with it and love the homogeneous prills. Greens grade is where its at, such fine prills. I’ve noticed that some synthetics will clump up and be harder to spread
