I don’t think hip hop is experiencing a downfall, and I don’t think it will for at least for a long time It’s in a very transitional and experimental phase right now. I honestly think it’s still hitting creative peaks, and there have already been so many landmark releases this decade so far, especially 2021 & 2022

i don’t think any genre could overtake hip-hop in influence but i could see something like country being more popular
