Sand Castle performs very well in my Handbuff paladin honestly... when it is buffed up it is kinda crazy. Usually I can play him with buffed stats, kill an enemy taunt, than give one of my existing units Sand Castle's attack... so basically it is as if Sand Castle had Charge to hit face...

Some of these cards are better than they say. Like I had an ultra bonkers turn off Sasquawk and some of the cards straight up are good to do just not battlecries and stuff you specifically have to target.

The sand castle card was fun in a mage deck i built for achievement purposes being able to use both drinks at once and finish the mage and paladin achievements at the same time was nice

@@G3toiytitans are so broken like they literally break the game lmao 😂 Also reno is the single most powerful card ever created, NEUTRAL instant uncounterable boardclear, and locks you to one space Its at 10 mana, where it SHOULD have been from the beginning Zilliax 3000 is the most played card in standard, kind of like old zilliax but on steroids

I'm currently enjoying both Mage and Paladin (Mage's Tourist) cards, it's been one of my favorite Standard moments in a while, and even when I lose I don't get that "this match was one-sided" feeling 🌊🧙‍♂️

Same here. Right now the biggest feel bad outliers are infinite unkilliaxes, 15+ face damage from 3-cost lamplighters and Conserge. Other than that, the unfunny decks from the previous expansion still lying around (handbuff paladin, doomkin druid and boomboss warrior)

The tourists do allow for some crazy stuff. For example using cheese twice off lynessa was awesome.

I don't like lamplighter doing 12 damage, concierge allowing Druids to cast 30 chalices, Unkilliax getting revived 18 times and pirates having charge + multiple buffs you can't interact with. Legend rank btw, idk if it's better elsewhere.

"Repeat" is a misleading term, which is seen on Sasquawk and a couple other Hunter cards. When I first read "Repeat" I read it as a copy of another card played, and although it does cast copies of spells, it doesn't play a copy of minions. If I were to play a buffed minion via handbuff cards from Warrior, Hunter, or Priest, the "Repeat" card is a base version. It's not "Repeating," it's playing a base copy.

I feel like a lot of these new cards are powerful but are shadowed by turn 6 win shenanigans (Zilliax, Lamplight, etc). Tbh a fun and frustrating meta -- the destruction of control and midrange decks is heart breaking. 2014 hearthstone was peak IMO, I mean Firebat running chillwind yeti in the world cup??? A 4 mana 4/5 was viable?? The daysss

Let’s get real. If the game stayed with playing a vanilla 4/5 minion turn 4 the game and community would have been in a far worse state. The community would be clamoring for some shred of novelty.

@@ryanarellano3736 That's completely true -- but surely you can agree that the meta is just too fast, and it's destroying otherwise enjoyed deck archetypes. I wonder if the compromise is just to increase max-health of heroes every now and then? If we're going to maintain a power inflation for the sake of continued novelty, then we need to do something else that helps maintain the balance as well.

In this standard I just feel that I'm always playing against aggro decks, even when it isn't. The fact that aggros, and non-aggros can kill you turn 6 or before is disturbing. Even the big minions deck like druid or warrior (zilliax) can also kill you turn 6 if they had the right cards. I also felt that some archetype really weren't on par with others. I've tried the deathrattle warlock... Well when you build your deck, you see that there is litteraly nothing for deathrattle for the warlock, except the new expension. I kinda wished I was playing wild but not my opponents 😅

For Maestra, you forgot the infite cloak of shadow deck in wild (Deck with Maestra, Tess and cloak of shadow)

I am a free to play playeur and i am disappointed because by saving to buy 60 boosters I only had one tourist . I would have liked the choice of 3 free tourists with a reward course and I think that it would have made players want to buy more cards to test the expansion even more.

On my opinion king tide would have been great on big spell mage, but I haven't seen a good one ever since fracture in alterac. Sanc azel looked promising but I have this mindset that every class can clear or destroy many minions at turn 5 making me doubt this card Always had my doubts with arana due to the lack of cards. Sure you can use that outcast blade from festival of legends but that idea alone is enough for me to bring 2 rustrot vipers and if that's not an option, a ton of minions on board

You can do it with a past expansion deck to be competitive, example is the new elemental gaslight that makes 1+ damage for every time you summon elemental in a row. JUST CRAFT THAT AND PUT IT IN A ROGUE AND YOULL BE FINE!!!! :V

This new hearthstone expansion has put a large dent into my dust reserves largely because of this new Tourist Mechanic which allows you to play with cards from other classes. In comparison to the Dual Class cards Tourist's will be more expensive by default since they are the 1600 dust building archetype block which you need to have first hand, with the downside of having to pay even more dust for X numbers of cards which are needed to build a successful archetype. From my calculations you would need on average 1 other legendary 1600 dust 2 Epic 800 Dust and 2 Common 80 dust making the building of a deck 4280 dust just by including the Tourist and Paradise cards. Dual class cards was overall less expensive from a dust stand point because you would have 1 single card for 2 classes considering a Dual Legendary cost 1600 dust and you can use it on both classes in theory you would save 1600 dust since the value of the card is doubled. Blizzard found a way to make the expansion more expensive with this new Mechanic and it displeases me greatly.

Yeah it's a way to probably get you to use dust. Some of the strategies are nice including cards people brushed off.

You have asked for our opinion about the expansion, I can tell you in short what I am seeing: Super fast aggro with charge minions, Armies of Unkilliax and more OTK than ever.. these are all bad and unhealthy for the game I think. As for some cards you mentioned: Ranger Gilly: seems hell slow for 6 mana and with 6 HP even more.. probably thats why it is not so popular. King Tide: Is probably unpopular because it is killing the OTK mechanics which the mage want to use without it.. because this seems the new direction the game is heading into.. OTK.. sadly.. Treasure Hunter Eudora: Seemed like a good idea to build it into my deck (Paladin), but since only cards from another class are counted.. it is just too slow mainly for 6 mana.. maybe it could be useful for 3-4 mana.. however the quest which it gives is Rogue quest.. and still not counting Paladin cards.. but that is ok.. it would make it too strong.. but for 6 mana.. seems useless.. atleast for Paladin. As for the Tourist cards, don't know if they are really useful or not... but I think simple dual class cards were better because adding 1 extra minion just to be able use some cards from another class.. might not worth it.. But not sure.. I am now testing a Tourist in my deck and it has managed a higher win rate than I expected. (above Legend, managed to reach it before the new expansion).

It was the first collection in which I found strong cards for mages, but in game I realize that the druid makes better use of them than the mage himself! It's easy to conclude that these cards were already created like this for the benefit of the Druid and never for the mage! The real spellcasting class is the druid, never the mage! ... This Hearthstone is shit and I've already reached the legendary rank. I see a lot of KZbin grinnggos in diamond rank!

Mage has good stuff. You have to run decks that either go for big spells or spam little spells. darkmoon magician was incredible in the spell spam deck.

I love that the strongest legendaries are free. But still we need to remove Zilliax from the game before it's fun again.

Not a big fan of the state of standard even despite somehow getting 4 legendaries from 15 packs. Zilliax and Reno ruin any experimenting im trying to do as i predicted in the last video, and the viable new cards we got have little interactions (Marin can high roll hard, Cant get rid of cheese dragon's cheeses, Patches eithers summons 4 guys a turn or doesnt do anything, Incidius/Lamp OTKs feels miserable to go against, Hamm destroying the one card youre trying to test, Griftah amulets too random, and so on) Im probably gonna keep playing until the balance patch and see if im gonna drop the game until the mini-set. Edit: And if its not Zilliax or Reno its Titan Yogg stealing my win con or endless plague deathknights who high roll frost plagues

Some of the cards not in the top 15 are still really good. The strategy around them can be esoteric though. Like sasquawk is actually pretty great but you do have to understand it's a Tess effect of your previous turn.

A lot of these legends that seem bad, i guess its more because zilliax and otks dominate way too much for them to be viable. when they nerf zilliax again, again, again and concierge everything will shift i think

got to diamond 3 on a winstreak after downloading the game briefly. went from a 20+ winstreak to a FLAT 50/50 WR. uninstalled again, goodbye cheaters.
