In my opinion, HSR def has the best character design. The splash art is so intricate and there are so much little details you can find on the characters. This is coming from someone who barely plays HSR and is mainly a Genshin player😅

I think based on sheer variety and creative liberty HSR has the most room for innovation as they don’t need to add custom physics for every accessory and cloth like their open combat games (HI3rd, Genshin, ZZZ) which allows them to add more detail to their outfits. Also since it takes place across multiple planets with different cultures and climates there is a lot more variety that is available in their outfit styles too

I like the ZZZ character designs. they're so different from the other styles. We have full animals as playable characters. And their outfits are just generally unique. I feel like Genshin and Hsr had really similar styles and outfits. Honkai impact idk about cuz I never played it

i love honkai star rail designs, i think that it has something that genshin doesn't and is that most of their older characters ACTUALLY look good, you can't compare Seele and Albedo and say Albedo's looks better, and honestly the designs keep getting better

Honkai impact has in my opinion its not just the playable character, the npcs also have some of then best as well, you have otto, welt, Tesla, Einstein, kevin kaslana, the flame chasers, the world serpent, seigfried and the immortal blades

HSR has my favorite designs but is also the most boring; Like ten of the characters are just in the same outfit recolored, genshin has the most variety, and ZZZ has the most fun designs. I can’t say anything about HI3 as I don’t play it except that from what I see they keep redesigning the same five characters over and over 😅

I'm more into the style of genshin so I like their designs more but hsr is a really close second. I'm just more into the region-based, fantasy, a little older timeline style. They've definitely not done their best with natlan though so if we're comparing natlan characters like chasca and ororon to hsr I'd definitely say hsr is better.

For me hsr wins... Looking at The Herta... Screwllum still unreleased model since 1.1.... Aventurine having peacock theme alongside the gamble... There are just so many fun details i love that i don't see in Genshin or ZZZ... As for Honkai impact 3rd.... THE BRONYA MEMES ARE ETERNAL....

Tbh, they’re all good, but my top 2 are ZZZ and HI3. A lot of designs are either based off HI3, being the maiden game of the company, and ZZZ’s whole character designs are just really cool. (Even the furries :/ ) Imma be frank: not a furry, but I like the thiren designs in ZZZ as much as everyone else, and the creativity they’re allowed to do is really cool. Like people have already said, their all really good, it’s just kinda up to you tbh :/ I like the cartoon designs and feel of ZZZ, and I like Star tail for everything, but we can’t really say that star rail is better than the designs of HI3, since so many are based off of them :/ Once 3.0 comes out, I believe that I’m going to enjoy Star rail’s designs more, since a good deal of characters are coming back, including Elysia, and the format and art for each are more in-tune with modern graphics, while HI3, while really good designs, playstyles and story, still is partially limited by how old it is, with some earlier stories looking a little worst for wear for when it first come out in the early 2000s Taking in just pure designs, I would have to argue ZZZ ngl, since their the only one’s with NPCs that look actually normal, compared to the Mc and gacha characters, and I personally really like hi3 and HSR’s designs, but they just don’t have that, and I really do love the side quest :/ If it’s just graphics, it has to be ZZZ, but like I also said, it’s subjective, so like whatever game u want, since they all pretty good.

HSR imo has the worst character and world design by far. Funny because i simp for one of them but its ridiculous how having an space opera setting with a vast world for Hoyoverse to explode their creativity in character design, they proceed to do girls and dudes like it was HI3. Barely any futuristic designs, no interesting alien species, planets based on China, Greece, Russia, etc instead of something new and exciting, lots od characters being expys, girls having the same dress design, and I could go on and on. ZZZ character design being more creative across the board just makes you realize how little they're trying with HSR. But I guess as long as they look cute or cool it's enough for their target audience, no need for creativity or actually interesting designs.
