Hi Luis: I just got my Storm Nova in the mail yesterday from Storm Corporation which replaced my 900 Global Altered Realty. Today I threw the 900 Global Zen Soul at the Storm Match Maker in Nampa, ID at Nampa Bowl. Absolutely love the ball that I purchased it today. I plan to have both balls drilled the same.

The Nova was a game changer for me. It's the first asymmetric core ball I've ever owned, and I still can't get over how forgiving it is, especially on house shots. I can miss my mark by two or three boards left or right, and it still somehow finds the pocket. Just as smooth as butter when it hits the dry; it always seems to know where to go even when my release isn't optimal or some joker further down the house does a bit too much celebrating when I'm in my swing. :-D

Great video Luis, I really enjoy your fresh content. I have had the Nova since it came out but have not had a chance to throw it all that much (happens when you have 57 balls...lol). I was looking at the Zen Soul to round out my Zen arsenal as I have the Zen & Zen Master and really love the line. Dang that's alot of bowling balls I have 3 only throw one just drilled my iq tour edition and before I got to throw my radical outer limits my thumb for vise interchangeable is stuck and just spins in the hole. Lol. I can't get it out

If I’m not mistaken the Nova is 2 parts solid and 1 part pearl where the zen soul is 2 parts pearl and 1 part solid, so the zen should be a little weaker than the nova based on covers alone. Definitely like this review because I’m considering on picking up one of these bowling balls as my next pick up, I’m leaning more towards the zen soul right now.

love the channel . I really like seeing how much room for error the balls allowed .Some other reviews are done by extremely accurate delivery making every ball look good, when after purchase I found to be quite unpredictable . ps I love my NOVA as it complements my IQ tour pink hybrid well on the fresh and for the burn RST-X2 and hyped hybrid is my all rounder . I find it difficult at times to pick the right ball as I am the only lefty most of the time.

Awesome video!! I am looking for a versatile ball for for most conditions and to play all 3 games with. I use to bowl in a leage 8 years ago and getting back into the game. I like to throw middle/right and work my way left as the lanes change. Looking into the Axiom Peral, Phases, Zen, Zen Master, Zen soul, Reality, polaris, parallax, Jakal Flash. Any insight or suggestions would be highly appreciated. Thanks.

Just what I thought. Both play well from straighter angles but if you want to move inside, the zen soul has a slight edge due to a slightly weaker cover thus retaining a little more energy for the back end. The nova will come around but just like you did, the ball speed needs to be slowed down a little

I have a Nova coming as my Storm trade. My arsenal will be Nova as 1 ball, then RST X-2, Phase 2, Hustle Camo and my weakest ball is HYRoad.

Love the comparison! The Zen is Soooooul good! Question: can you do a video where you breakdown what you mean by "hooking front to back" and not left to right (I'm a lefty). I've heard that before, the only thing I can think of is that means the ball won't got too far outside?

When they say it has more hook front to back it just means that the ball starts reading the lane sooner

Worth talking about different OOB finish, Nova is 3000 and Zen Soul is 4000. On fresh covers that’s going to make the Nova earlier all other things being equal (which they aren’t, but…). To me the Nova looks pretty dull OOB. When I think hear “earlier” I think “1st transition, skid to hook”. Imo asymmetry has more to do with second transition, hook to roll. Asyms have shorter hook phase vs symmetrical.

That bowling alley looks like it has the easiest oil pattern. You see the difference in these bowling balls on sport/challenge patterns. Sams Town house shot is a joke. When you pull it, theres oil volume to carry it down, you throw to the right too much? Theres the bumper of friction to bring it back. Do some harder shots
