If you’re transitioning from Wix to Wordpress with Elementor Webflow is really helpful to be familiar with. It helps you get used to not being able to drag and drop anything absolutely anywhere you want.

So at first when I saw the design capabilities of webflow my heart sank. I’ve spent months creating my website and I just looked at it and went wow, this is what I should have used all along. Then I heard about the scripting capabilities. I’ve made a highly dynamic web app that requires a lot of writing and querying the CMS and the fact that there’s no “velo” for webflow gave me this huge sigh of relief, haha! I chose the right platform, but boy do I wish it was more CSS-y and that my design changes felt more global.

Are you using Wix Classic or Wix Studio? You can get pretty close to webflow design capabilities with Studio.

​@@thewixwiz I don't like the way Wix Studio handles responsiveness and breakpoints. That some changes like changing stacks from horizontal to vertical for example cascades upwards does not make any sense to me..

I've used both. Webflow gives you way more control in terms of CSS properties. I'm actually surprised at some of the limitations Wix Studios has for example on the Container element - that requires custom CSS. But Wix gives you way more control over the JS implementation with Velo, a better app market and better tools for running your business within your workspace. If Wix Studios can open up their platform to give you more css properties it would really bring in more 'designers' who opt for Framer and Webflow over Wix studio because of it's design features.

Love your work. I think Wix is more user-friendly for non-developers, moving elements lets you creat anything which is not in the webflow

I hear ya, for Web apps I think Wix still takes the cake but for a static website Webflow was really cool.

Haha as long as it starts with W I'm in! Jk, but really I'm considering expanding the channel to touch on website building more broadly. Wix is great but to stay ahead of the game I think it's important to constantly explore what's out there and learn new tools 💪

I love the features of Wix Studio, but because of the editor lag, i decided to stay in the lane of webflow. wix studio has waytoo much to improve

I don't like that wix doesn't have the ability to test transactions using dummy cards.
