Which is best? The Royal Enfield classic 350 or the Meteor 350? Comparing both bikes. Best bike is?

Ordered it over the phone and am super happy. That 2 inch forward position is especially comfortable at my age. (riding 50 years) Oh ya, you'll always get "bugs" in you face. 😎 Cheers

I really do prefer the forward position to. It’s much more comfortable for a long ride. The yellow is a good choice. 👍

(Cut and paste mate) as I was Just going through your back catalogue of your first review, comment was as follows "I think you would agree your views would be a bit different now in 2024 for this bike as one of the best selling bikes world wide, I must admit I never gave them a second look, been riding for 45 years Japanese rocket ships, Harleys and BMW's, however I finally "get it" I have just bought a meteor stellar Blue 350 Meteor (purely for the colour) brand new for £3200 (EX MotoGB Stock), it's the same colour as my old HD Iron 883, and have modded it with fork gators, removed back rest for the standard grab rails, small black fly screen, Tail tidy, heated grips, raised and pushed back the Bars and added a couple of canvassed bags, I also got the decat pipe and the DNA filter to be installed when it is run in for more power and a better sound, the top speed will still be 72mph as it is restricted but it will get there much quicker and hold it easier, having had 3 HD's in the past I never bought them for speed and would cruise them at 60 - 70mph, the RE will do exactly the same, all the above mods inc the bike was less than £4k and it looks and sounds as good as my 2020 iron sportster that I paid £11K for. Give us another review mate.... since the end of the air cooled sportster America seems to be going nuts for the RE bikes"

You can buy the Classic Dark and get less chrome or buy the Meteor Super Nova and get more chrome than the Fireball. You can always add the heel toe shifter to a Classic. It really is all in what you want the bike to be.

That’s very true. Lots of swapping and changing is available. I like all of the 350 range. Truth be told I would be happy with any one of them.

@@GillyBikes I have been looking hard at the Dark Stealth Black Classic. The chrome plated spokes go away and I have heard salt damage rumors about them. I love the red accents against the matte black paint. No tripper which can be added, but I am not convinced it is all it has been cracked up to be. I may add the heel toe shifter later. I end up on dirt roads a bit and the ability to stand up could be an advantage. I think that bike may well fit me and my use of the bike.

I’ve never got on with the tripper. It’s never worked for me so you wouldn’t miss it. 👍

The reason why satnav is not provided in classic bullet is coz they want it to be as old school as possible. RE is currently working on building a amp meter which might be released along with standard bullet 350cc. Amp meter will be just an vintage touch to the bike.

Between the two bikes, I also chose the Meteor. Whilst the Classic may be better looking, the riding position wasnt so comfortable. And the heel&toe shifter is actually really easy to use.

I have a 500 Bullet. I'm 72. The Bullet is getting too heavy. It will most likely be replaced by one of these, but I'm still undecided.

These 2 are both great bikes. But don’t forget The Hunter is out soon and that is even lighter. I thinks it’s nearly 20kg lighter than these. With luck I will get on a Hunter in the next few days.

I do prefer the look of a Classic 350 (it would have to be black) ,the only thing that stopped me from getting one is the seat height. The HuNTER would be fantastic but until I sat on one again the seat height was still an issue. So i Got a meteor (Green) with the lowered seat, my issue is my very short legs (I still cannot flat foot the bike). At the end of the day I would of been happy with any of the 350 range. I'm still very new to biking so maybe after some confidence building I may get something bigger in frame size.

I'm with you regarding the meteor. Personally, I prefer the appearance of the classic but so much chrome means so much polishing and, with the British weather, it would, for me, be a nightmare!

I bought the satnav from India off ebay and it was a pretty easy install. Works great and was cheaper than the other non-integrated nav units. I heard they are not being shipped to export markets due to the global chip shortage

The worst comparison I hawe seen yet. Zero research done, and chose favorite of two from colour?? WTF. Classic also comes in all blacked out colours (No crome) - Dark Stealth Black, Dark Gunmetal Grey and Signals (not in all areas). Plus heel-tow shifter is an option on Classic with an original RE part.
