Great video, Clench Fitness. Looking forward to your next upload! I hit the thumbs up button on your content. Keep up the fantastic work. Your breakdown of the pros and cons of dumbbells versus resistance bands was very insightful. How do you think the integration of both tools can enhance a workout routine for someone just starting their fitness journey?

I have been working on building my home gym for 3 years now, I have 2 sets of bands with anchors, 2 dumbbells that go from 10-100lbs. I have a three week workout cycle: #1 Dumbbells, #2 Bands, #3 hybrid with both. Use my old laptop case for all my Bands. Other work out stuff I built up is yoga mat, adjustable weighted vest 10-40 lbs, push up bars, ab roller, 2 kettlebells, my wife broke her foot a while back, and had to get a balance board for her exercises, has 2 stabilizer balls on the bottom, I use for push ups.

Sounds like a great setup!

My workout space is limited so I only use bands but I do use the footplate and the Nexus bar.

Nice! Would 100% agree bands are a great option for limited space! You can definitely maximize them with using a footplate and bar!

Thank you for this video! I am a HUGE Band Fanboy. I no longer use dumbbells. The plandemic forced me to work out at home. At home, I didn't have to worry about wearing a facemask or keep my "social distance". Additionally, if the gym had 25 people in their gym, you could not work out. ALL BS! But the good thing is I found "Clench Fitness". The bands are great. I follow all your how to videos and I can do a full body work out. I am not looking to gain size but just maintain. I no longer go to a gym and save a monthly fee too! KEEP ON ROCKING, Brandon!

Sounds like you found the best option for you to train at home! That's awesome!

Dumbbells here in Brazil are very expensive, a pair of barbells with 40kgs of various weights costs more than half of the minimum wage, that's why I opted for the resistance bands and they have served me well, maybe in the future I will buy dumbbells or I will do it myself with cement as I have seen guys doing it, good video, thank you

Cost is definitely an issue for many people when it comes to free weights! Bands can be a great lower cost alternative, glad you found them!

I own bands and dumbells (the ones that you change the plates so they don't take up as much space as the fixed dumbells ) and dumbells are noisy and annoying af sometimes when your working out late (clink clink) 🤣🤣 bands are more quieter. But i like to use both and do hybrid band and dumbells combined sometimes

Adjustable dumbbells are great! They definitely save on space! We like a good combo of free weights and bands too!

@Clench Fitness , using bands do you get that sore feeling DOMS like you do after a good weights session? I tend not to get doms, it feels like it doesn't work my muscles as good as weights ...
@littlenel17Ай бұрын
Would be cool if you could build muscle with bands like you do with bands

During COVID times, dumbbells days were ridiculous in sales, and bands were the way to tackle the years that we won't even know if they were safe to travel or not. Today both are very good travel with bands and dumbbells if you don't want to take them. I don't like sharing if careless subjects's haaa.

Agreed, we enjoy a training style with both bands and free weights! They both come in handy for various reasons!

Can bands replace weights for hypetrophy?

I did bands only workouts for 5+ years then switched to weights. I didn't get much results with the bands except for building cardio. With weights I am seeing changes but I am also injured half of the time.

You could try a combination of bands and free weights in your training! Especially with the exercises where you're noticing more pain/injury issues. I would also recommend focusing on progressive overload and slowing down your tempo when working with bands if your goal is to build strength. Here's a video we did on improving strength with bands that I think will be helpful for you kzbin.info/www/bejne/rpWcgnegaqqCoassi=R_GFitm-AN_JQwRo

There's actually one more thing about bands: they are extremely portable. You can bring a set of bands to a park, a beach, or even to a foreign country. With dumbbells, you can't. It's just not practical or convenient. I'm so glad I discovered bands when Covid happened. I've been gym free since then.
