Absolute waste of money/time to do a MS/MTech anywhere in the world. Only exception is if you want to do a PhD, no job but have money, have money and want to spend in USA.
@Drganguli3 ай бұрын
Fir PhD you can easily get full scholarship. There are a plethora of scholarships out there. In tech a masters is now more or less mandatory. See all the CEO’s for example. Why so many American CEO’s come from India? kzbin.info/www/bejne/oYPEfGCQpr2jidE

@@Drganguli Most CEOs have only a Bachelor's degree. Some get a MBA. MS as a terminal degree and that too full time is very rare for an American CEO or most who are in technology (you will find some Indians as that is/was one of the easiest ways to go to USA).

MS in USA is obviously better option
@Drganguli3 ай бұрын
I think this is true financially only if one can get a scholarship and is in a hot area like computer science. But of course abroad degrees give greater cultural exposure and can build critical thinking skills in many students. The teaching in some cases may also be better

Yes with new us president visas and jobs may be tough for foreign students. But some people do get jobs. You are right that many people come to USA and they have various levels of skills. You could do MTech in India from iit, iisc etc and get good jobs too. If one gets scholarships in USA it is fine but money used from loan may be hard to recover. Glad to hear about this. Many students are spending their hard earned parents money to get MS degrees abroad but are unable to stay there and get visas. They may have been better off following your approach.

@@Drganguli I agree with you sir. My masters was basically free because of the monthly stipend. The exposure I got and smart people I met there, was bonus! The most difficult part was qualifying GATE and getting a good score as it is entirely technical exam based on all the core subjects of the particular engineering stream compared to GRE where only math and english language abilities are tested as first step of admission.

which is better, getting a mtech while working or quitting job doing mtech in an iit?
@Drganguli4 ай бұрын
It will be hard to do MTech while working as the course load is high and the students are fresh from gate preparation and so may handle the course well. You may end up getting bad grades unless you study hard. This is about full time MTech where you have to take many courses. But part time degrees may be there where you can take reduced course load and take a little bit more time to finish the degree

Good Sir. What Study Material Different Between CSE MIT USA and IIT CSE.

The study material is more or less the same. In US there is a lot of focus on home works, assignments, projects and term papers whereas in India exams are very important. In us some courses may not even have exams and exams may be open book. But open book exams are notoriously hard.

Scholarships for direct PhD in USA after BTech in India is rather difficult. A better idea would be to do a masters degree and then apply for PhD. You can do the masters at IIT’s or iisc. You may need to give gate for that. Get Free Master's Degree at IIT and IISc using GATE! kzbin.info/www/bejne/fJfLi3urrNKtjbs Alternatively you can do Masters in Europe or Asia on one of the funded masters programs and then apply for PhD in USA.
