Hey I’m looking at my options on ccw always going back to my first want the G26. Today I went to the gun shop. Looked at G26, 43x, P365 in several configurations Still thinking G26 Maybe 43x
@vaughnsadekni6653 күн бұрын
@josephpuchel6497 The G26 shoots like a larger gun due to a little more weight and dimnsions. It also holds 10 rds and in that configuration the grip is shorter than the G43x making it more concealable ( for me at least). Also take into account versatile capacity ranging from 10-33 rounds.
@noah.s953 күн бұрын
@@josephpuchel6497I’m carrying a G26 after a year with 43Xs and 48s. For me the 26 shoots far better and conceals better, but the 48 is slightly more comfortable. I love that the 26 shares holsters and mags with the larger guns like my 34

The g26 is way To Bulky yea it’s concealable but way to bulky for its size
@noah.s952 күн бұрын
@ that makes it shoot better and index more consistently than the smaller micro nines. I tell people it conceals like a micro nine but the comfort is closer to a true double stack like a 19. Since I carried Berettas and G19s and 17s for years, the 26 rocks as I get more concealment and great shoot ability, and it’s the level of comfort I’m used to.

I own both and i share some of the same experiences. YMMV but i prefer to carry my P365x for a few reasons: 1. I've never had a single malfunction in over 5000 rounds 2. I shoot it more accurately (can put all the rounds in the same hole) 3. Grip is way more comfortable and stable under rapid fire (Wilson Combat Grip) 4. I prefer the grip angle of the P365, it points more naturally for me (Even though I've shot Glocks my whole life) 5. I can't seem to get the Glock to function reliably with anything other than 10rd mags (I tried the Shield Arms mags, even changed out the mag release, tried the PSA Mags and they all have issues either not locking back or not feeding the very last round of the mag) 6. If I decide to carry a larger gun, I can add a radian afterburner and an aluminum icarus grip and it turns into a monster. 🔥

My experience has been the same as yours, only I have shot much less than you through my P365 & P365XL. I've had to send both of these back to Sig for repair 3 times EACH. 2 dead triggers on my XL, and a new barrel, slide, & extractor last time I sent in the P365. They work great when they're working, but can leave you completely with a dead pistol at times. I have also bought a PC Shield Plus 4" ported model that I have also had to send in twice for repairs, but the big difference is that the Shield was able to keep on shooting each time. I have shot a competitor's Glock 48 and thought it was a nice gun & just as accurate as my XL. But I have too many pistols, so I won't be buying another one any time soon. I do the best shooting at IDPA with my CZ P10F with a Red Dot, but the irons on my P10C and Shield Plus are not far behind. If I could only have 1 pistol, it would be my Shield Plus 4" ported model. Shoots like a larger gun with about the same recoil, fantastic trigger, & grip module, right out of the box. But I do pocket carry the P365, as it is the smallest, lightest pistol which means a quicker draw out of the pocket. Anything bigger gets left behind.

43x is a safer design with the ability to carry 15+1 with shield mags or PSA micro dagger mags. Personally having owned both I am more fond of my 43x however..... If you throw a dot and a light on a tiny micro 9 just go full size. The weight if you're running 15 rounders feels very similar and a good holster belt combo will allow just as good concealment. I'm a big fan of go big or small. Full size mostly with light and dot and a pocket pistol like the bodyguard 2.0 for light carry days. The 43x or p365 can fit this small carry role but let's be honest you want the xmacro or fuse because it's light-years better than the original and at that point your Glock19 MP2.0 and p320s will feel similar in your waistband. Go big or go small. This is the way

They sell this back strap for the Glock 43x on eBay that changed the game for me. I have zero issues shooting that little gun

Damnit Mickey! I resisted Glocks because the fanbois drive me crazy. I’ve used many of the items on your sponsor board and love them all. You haven’t steered me wrong yet and you raised some interesting points about the 365. Now I’m off to research which Glock 🤮may replace my 6,200 round problem free (for now) P365XL

Good reviews. I think you are right in that for most people who are only maybe running 1,000 or fewer rounds per year, and then just use it for a daily carry, it's not going to matter much. I like your idea of carrying spare parts for the Sigs where they often have breakage or failure points. But here's the thing, if a person can afford to buy tens of thousands of rounds of ammo in a year or two time, then just but both. Hell buy multiples of both. I don't see why a person would need to be in an either or situation if they afford $4,000 of ammo every year. Most average people are not in that situation. We can afford maybe 1,000 rounds per year and go to the range once every month or every other month. That's just the reality for 90-percent of the firearms owners and CCW carriers out there.

We had a G43X break at our last fun shoot competition. A stamped piece of metal up near the trigger just sheared in half, and she ended up sitting out the rest of the competition. The most common gun for the competition, was the P365 in certain forms as it was a CCW oriented competition. Nobody smiled at her by the way. We inspected her gun, found out why it stopped working, and some people offered to lend her their gun so she could keep competing.

Preventative maintenance of springs is easy IF you take preliminary force measurements and replace the springs when they begin to weaken. I've performed accelerated life testing on Sig magazine springs and they DO weaken with use. ISMI magazine springs are weaker than Sig magazine springs when they are new and the magazines are easier to load. HOWEVER, Sig magazine springs weaken much faster and eventually they become weaker than ISMI springs with the same number of loadings. So if your issue is difficulty loading Sig magazines, use ISMI magazine springs instead. I have a complete set of replacement parts for my P365s and I have never had a problems finding the parts. The P365 series can be completely disassembled using nothing more than the butt end of a few drill bits and a small hammer for tapping if need be. Pin punches will of course work better than drill bits.

What percentage of people put 10k to 15k rounds on there carry gun a year?? Answer, probably less than 1%. Mickey, who's career is a trainer, might have us believe that's wrong. No, that's called normal peoples lives. The P365 is just fine. We will spend 99% of our life just carrying our guns, nothing to see here. IMHO. Love the videos.👍 (BTW, I own 6 Glocks, love them.)

I have two P365's one with 1500rds on it, and the other with 3500 and nothing funky yet. My manager has an orginal P365 that has 14000rds with no breakages. The guy who runs our steel competitions has one with 23000rds on it (he also runs our reloading gig), ans then of course there's a bunch of other people who have that same gun. I may not trust the P320, but the P365 has, for the most part, been reliable. The G43X/G48 have also been reliable for the most part (we had one break). I personally like how my Sig setup shoots, but I also enjoy shooting Glock's...my only warning to people about Sig, is that if you don't tend your magazines on occasion, they will rust. That being said, there are a few tricks to keeping tools rust free that work on Sig mags too, and I sweat ALL over my setup while working in 95 degree heat, and I've even been rained on numerous times, but no rust unless I decide to go months without giving it a wipe down.

@@CarryTrainer what is "plenty", dont you think it "plenty" sigs were breaking under 1000 rounds they wouldent be one of the most popular firearms on the market? Very odd. If two companies made vehicles and one vehicle broke 1000 miles into every journey people would stop buying them.

I have passed on Sigs, and Glocks, the majority of my carry rotation is Springfield Armory/HS Products XD variants, a CZ P07 and a couple CZ 75/97 clones and then a Taurus G2C. My Springfield Armory XDM Elite 3.8 9mm, has the most rounds though it, and no issues, I picked up a lightly used Hellcat this summer but only have a couple boxes through it, its a good micro carry but its not like using a larger XDM model. a few other things that sit in the safe and are more for the collection or occasional range trip.

Had the G43 right when it came out years ago. Original G43. It was alright. I don't trust newer Sig offerings but love the old P Series. My 2 micros as they might be classified as are a Springfield Hellcat and a Kahr K9 Elite. I mainly carry the Kahr in hot weather as it's just an awesome pistol. Hot weather is over though so now it's full sized carry.

Incredible to hear all of Mickey's comments comparing the micro-Glocks to the Sigs! I shot exclusively Glocks in highly competitive IDPA matches (and GSSF) for several decades in my younger years (eyes and reflexes not quite the same at 70 🤔🙄😉). Shot well over 100K 9mm rounds between my G34, G17, and G26 during that period. NEVER had a Glock fail on me, period. Brings back a lot of good memories. Have to say, I still think I can 'score better' (time vs accuracy) with my G26 vs my G34 at distances 7 yds and in... Just faster transition time between multiple targets and/or from torso to head shots. Hate to admit it, but buds and I used to brag about how many rounds shot on our 'practice Glocks'without any cleaning before experiencing a misfeed or worse, literally 1000s... Not recommended! 🤣 But nonetheless, whether with or without Red Dots, I can most definitely shoot my Sig P365/XLs more accurately faster than I can with G48, G43X, G43. So I absolutely agree with Mickey, the P365/XL has it over the micro-Glocks at distance... Not so much inherent accuracy, but because of their overall design, be it grip, shape, OEM triggers. Like I said, the proof of pudding is I shoot more accurately faster with my P365/XL at 15 yds and beyond than I can with my micro-Glocks. I'm shooting pretty much stock Glocks and Sigs, nothing fancy or expensive aftermarket 'enhancements'. Bottom line, since I no longer shoot competition matches, I don't shoot the excessive round counts regularly like I use to. So my odds of mechanical failure on my less used P365/XLs may be comparable to my highly used micro-Glocks. I feel I want (need) the higher confidence level of fast(er) accurate hits at 'distance' for my own personal potential self-defense situations. At shorter distances, type of micro-pistol won't make much difference if you're well practiced. And I need these micro-size 9mm for my mode of concealment carry and clothes. So I now carry my P365/XL types probably 90% of the time instead my Glocks. But one last twist. Give me outer clothing like a jacket/coat... Time to pack on my G19 again! But given the climate we have here down in H-Town (Houston), small concealment carry rules. Just my opinions of course! 😉👍

Interesting. Date of purchase? Would be interesting to see if this is a recent development. At the same time, I have an FCU that's about a year old, and it has 3500rds and countless dry fire reps, and it's still chuggin along. If I have a problem, I might just swap to my old FCU which is from about a year after the gun launched.

The Sig P365 family of pistols is the most innovative, the best engineered, the most advanced design that the gun industry has ever produced. Sig faithfully keeps improving its offerings to the gun public and will continue to do so. Sig is the best choice for me. Glock is retro and stuck in the 1990s.

I've come to the conclusion that all the subcompact 9mm pistols are more challenging to operate than I like. This is mainly due to their truncated grips, but the short barrels and light weight give them more recoil and less muzzle velocity, so I switched to slightly larger compact models. At first I tried a G48 because it has the most comfortable Glock grip I've yet found. I converted it to use 15 round metal mags, but initial tests showed it was not 100% reliable. I next tried a SiG 365XL but did not like its very light and unpredictable trigger pull, so I compared it with a Springfield Hellcat Pro. The Hellcat Pro carried more rounds but was less comfortable to shoot due to its surprisingly thin grip and snappy recoil. Despite this, I was able to make better hits with it than with the 365XL. When the Hellcat Pro Comp came out I picked one up and discovered the comp really works to tamp down the recoil. I now have a discreet, light, controllable, powerful, and reliable pistol for daily carry.

I put about 3200 rounds through my P365 XL when the trigger spring broke. I emailed Sig and they said the springs should be replaced every 10k rounds or so. This is happening enough based on what I can see online that I do think this is a problem. I have about 7k rounds through my XL at this point and I keep extra springs and other parts just in case. I haven't shot my 365s a lot in the last couple of years because I switched carry guns to a double stack 1911, but I do have several 365s (XL, Macro, Raider) that I will carry when I want to be extra cautious about printing. Based on what I can see, it's hard to argue against the parts breaking issues reported here. I still plan on carrying my 365s, but I'm not putting a ton of rounds through them. I think if you are on a heavy firing schedule, it might make sense to have a training gun and an identical carry gun

Glock is good for people who aren't all that into guns. I dont mean a novice or someone who is uneducated. But a friend if mine is not into guns but feels he needs one and has fun shooting but its not hobby number one for him. He bought a LE trade in Glock 22 for $300 in fantastic shape. He doesnt shoot much and hes a big manly dude so .40 and it's price and recoil in polymer pistols isnt really an issue. He's a drummer in a band and makes a good living at it. So he's good and coordination isnt an issue for him. I have one of just about every type of combat pistol. DA/SA, my preferred, SA only, revolvers that are SAO, DAO, DA/SA. We went shooting and he wanted to try out something different. We tried them all. The only other gun he liked of mine is a Beretta 92D DAO. I'm Beretta 92 fan boy. So I got one of those. Nothing wrong with being a fan boy of something that has worked out for you. Had Beretta 92's since i was 13. Im 46 now. But like Mickey said, there is a lot going on with them that needs paying attention to. Ive had a Glock 19 gen 3, my first one, gen2 23, gen3 20, and currently have a 48 MOS. I was issued a gen3 22 when i worked in LE but opted for a Beretta M9A1 after probation ended. They've all worked fine. I just dont like them. CCW sucks with the 92. So i ended up with a Walther P99AS. I've owned a Sig P230SL, W.German P228, and a US made P239 .40. Those Sigs worked fine. That P230 is a fantastic option to PPK. It's better in every way. I tried the PPK for a backup since it works like the 92. But that for me just isnt a good gun. The P99AS was a total impulse buy that the salesman was really trying to offload on me. Went there for a HK P30 and he steered me to the Walther. I got a SP5 and thought i eas turning into a HK fan boy. Turns out im just a MP5 fan boy. Before that i had got a Sig MPX and nothing but problems. Mags were expensive with that as well. The SP5 was purchased as a range toy with the idea its easy to get rid of. Its replaced my shotgun for home defense. The Walther P99AS I've come to like as much as the Beretta. So i dont like Glock, but they bulld a gun that i have no problem recommending someone buy one. I think if you're a gun guy you really should have one anyway. But that's how good they are. Something they dont get much credit for is when you go to buy one the price is pretty good, the mags are cheap, and all that was compromised to keep it that way can easily be changed out. Compare the price of a Glock 21/41 and its mags to every other double stack .45ACP out there that is worth buying. The price difference equates to another decent hangun. So to me the Glock fan boys have some merit to their position. I actually think the Glock is a cool looking pistol as oppoosed to most its detractors. Also the Gucci Glocks that I've shot are really impressive. I know there are reliability issues with some of them, but all the ones ive tried shoot real good. Its hard to beat that aftermarket support. Whatever Sig is putting out these days just seems to be problem after problem and their price wasnt a big deal back when their P220 series was their line. Even that polymer version the Sig Pro series was good. But the extra money and the issues arent compatible. That P320, assuming there isnt something wrong with the design is not a safe pistol to carry with a round in the chamber unless you havr one with the manual safety. If you like a manual safety then bo problem. But a handgun for a lot of people is reactionary and pull and fire is whats required. If you got time to deal with loading a round into the chamber and using a safety you probably want to be doing that with a rifle or shotgun. Thats my input and experience anyway. Hope that helps someone out.
