Nice Adam! That was great and fun too! Always keep doing what you do! Happy flying!

My 5 inch is super quiet with 5 and 8 blade 3.5 inch props. I'm quieted down my quads by using more blades and a prop that is 1/2" to 1" smaller in diameter. I figured I get more lift from the increase in the number of blades and slower prop tip speed by going with smaller props.

You do get slower tip speed with a smaller prop, but one benefit of the larger ones is more thrust for less required motor speed. Which usually results in quieter operation too. Well, at least it very much does from PC fans so I imagine the same SHOULD be true of drone/aircraft props too?

@DavidStruveDesigns I don't know why it works. I can only guess, but going smaller on the prop diameter and adding blades makes the quad quieter. It's not more powerful, but it still has plenty of power to punch out or to grip corners.

@@CarbonGlassMan It's probably some complex relation between getting tip-speed down to below supersonic speeds (or closer to that level) and how the blades themselves vibrate as they move through the air and how much turbulence that creates. That's my best guess, though it's actually WAY beyond my knowledge level cos it involves complex physics, fluid dynamics, sound frequencies etc.

Was this video meant for other social media I ask because of the aspect ratio.

Hey! Nah I just thought I'd try something different. A lot of people watch on mobile devices.
