I absolutely love the look of Bombay Sapphire bottles, it's one of my favorite bottles of any spirit, but it's just such a letdown that such a pretty bottle holds such disappointing gin.

The blue bottles look very upscale. I'd recommend either of them to college men seeking to impress college gals when they come up to their rooms or apartments. When they have finished the bottle, the bottle can be reused and refilled with a discount gin like London Tower or Crystal Palace. I doubt many coeds would appreciate the difference. When I was in school, a friend of mine did the same thing with reusing a wine bottle in the 1970's.

Same experience here. I like the London Dry Gin edition more than blue Sapphire edition, which have a rather strange taste with all its ingredients. The LDG are very common in supermarkets here in DK, so not rare at all

Thanks for the review! I'd be interested is to see a comparison between the standard versions of the main gins. Standard Tanqueray, versus standard Bombay vs. Standard Beefeater (and maybe other ubiquitous brands I am forgetting). I really appreciate how you often not only give your opinion about which is your favorite but also the subtle differences in flavor which is really helpful when trying to figure out which gin to use in what kind of cocktails! Anyway, cheers.

Beefeater (except Beef 24) any day over Bombay. Did a taste test again with the remainder of a bottle of Sapphire, (my neighbor's favorite).. Anemic but ok. Their way of serving Bombay G & T is 1 1/2 oz Sapphire.. 5 ounces Fever Tree.

Love your channel Bobby. Thanks for the review of the Bombay Sapphire East. Because of one of your reviews I picked up Brokers Gin, which was under $20 here in the US. I was not disappointed. Great inexpensive gin! There is another gin that I am curious about. It is called Bummer & Lazarus gin. There is a unique story behind the name of the gin which I found interesting. I have not tried it as of yet, but it is on my list as to the gins that I want to try. I'm not sure if its available in your neck of the woods, but I thought it would be an interesting gin to review.

I was drinking from this brand when I was younger, but I'm 34 now and this not a gin for anyone over 25 if you ask me. The gin market evolved massively in the last 20 years. There is really no excuse to drink Bombay gin. Unless you're already drunk and you don't care about what you're drinking.

I haven't tried a lot of Gins like you but i drink them neat. I saw your video of 2019 best Gins you recommend and i chose to try the Brokers one...I have to tell you that it wasn't pleasant for me..i mean i understand the quality of the drink, but its too damn alcoholic to drink neat and has not any damn flavors...So for the first time in my 27 years i tried it with tonic...A lot better i have to say but still average..The tonic gave it some flavor, but its like drinking tonic with alcohol...Not so great for me... So i wanted to recommend you, when you try a Gin with tonic and you believe they don t have character, or you don't like them, try to drink them neat.. For example, have you ever tried Bombay Sapphire neat? I believe you would appreciate it more.. The more alcoholic a Gin is, the better for Gin&Tonic or other Cocktail will be.. I would take Bombay the classic one over Brokers anytime..I mean to drink them neat.. I guess our paletes have developed differently cause the way we prefer to have our drinks.. My fav so far is Hendricks neat with a long thin slice of cucumber...Best drink of my life

KaneLLo' Thanks very much for your comment. It’s always helpful to hear when people have a different opinion and view. I have tried to drink neat gin but in most cases, I really don’t enjoy it. I do have only a tiny bit of tonic now which, for me really releases the flavours of the gin. I know that master distillers and gin tasters often try it neat but with a spot of water because this also releases the flavours. I take your point though and I will revisit near Bombay in a future video. Thanks again KaneLLo 👍👍

What more do you expect from a vapour infused gin? Obviously it is going to have less flavours compared to others. Bombay sapphire and Bombay east are both from England but star of Bombay is from srilanka There is a reason this gin is on every F ing bar on this planet
