“When the Gospel is preached to the spirits in prison, the success attending that preaching will be far greater than that attending the preaching of our Elders in this life. I believe there will be very few indeed of those spirits who will not gladly receive the Gospel when it is carried to them. The circumstances there will be a thousand times more favorable” (“Discourse by President Lorenzo Snow,” Millennial Star, Jan. 22, 1894, 50).

That may be true for previous dispensation, but not for the gentile nations living on the earth while the gospel is preach. They forfeit their opportunity, and won't believe it just like here. The hope we have is when the gospel wasn't on the earth, along with the heathen nations now, who will gladly receive it. Those are the one that may be blessed to enter into the Joy of the Lord! This is my excitement too!

Cain was living a telestial life much the same way Laman and Lemuel were. Their attitude was summarized in Moses 5:16 when Cain said: "Who is the Lord that I should know him?" That pretty much sums up one too many of our youth in the church today, who like Cain, Laman and Lemuel were raised in good church families with righteous parents but for many reasons grow up to be "past feeling" When Satan told Cain to make an offering unto the Lord knowing very well what the outcome would be, in a similar way we sometimes make the same "offerings" to the Lord in our attempts to seek approval or for some side agenda and then like Cain are angry at God when our offering is not accepted because our heart(intentions/motives/lifestyle)are not right.

Thank you for this wonderful podcast episode. I learned a lot! I wanted to point out what you said right here at this timestamp 15:22 . With sincere care about this topic, I think we individually do ourselves a great disservice by saying or thinking that when we die we "fall into" one of three kingdoms. The truth is that we ascend here and now into higher degrees of Glory through the grace of Christ. I definitely understand what you are trying to say and the Spirit of where you are coming from, but sometimes we don't even realize what we are saying by the words we choose. That choice to be and think Celestial is here and now every single day. We ascend/progress spiritually as we learn, do, and become like our Father in Heaven. The decisions and words and thoughts we choose to never offend the Spirit must be intentional. God's work and Glory is infinite and intentional; so too will be ours if we want it... through Christ. I hope I don't ever think or speak of ascending into God's presence through Christ's grace as falling into a category. Much love. ❤️

Excellent! I’ve listened to President Oaks talk on this subject at least 25 times and others apostles talks related to it and it’s wonderful to hear more about this topic which I enjoy. I feel like the temple is a key in the perfection where as was noted completeness it helps us be complete. Complete in the attributes of Christ in our sphere so we do the best we can yoked to him because he’s already completed everything. I think the laws of the celestial kingdom are really truly learned in the temple that’s where it’s taught more clearly on home to become celestial as we know and the scriptures. I enjoyed her comments on using the word rebellion well said. Also reminds me of a talk other Bedner gave in the last five years about agency. Once we choose the kingdom of God that individual agency really becomes representative agency and why we need the Holy Ghost help us be representative of the savior which ultimately guides us through this path learning about in celestial sphere if that makes sense it’s great talk you’ll have to look it up about moral agency.

That would be right, because the Lord has got my hands all busy collecting up the genealogy for the temple that is how he wants me to gather israel because I have a special typing ability to get alot of work done in such a short time. Bringing the names to family search that the temple dosen't yet have to help the other saints. And that is how I was to spend my time in the kingdom because I didn't have all of the blessings of the gospel here in this life as the others had so this was God's answer to me to keep myself all busy in the kingdom laboring for all the dead..That Protected from all the bad stuff going on in the world because of being busy instead in gathering Israel as I was called as a Family History Worker. So I know its no coincidence that the Lord wants me busy doing all this gathering work for the temple as his coming continues to draw more nearer. It reminds me of the Parable of Gathering in all the wheat to secure them into the garners. (temples) so because the Lord has me busy doing this work, I don't have time for engaging in all the telestial things of this world.........

My understanding if a person dies now we will either end up in the paradise or prison. Most LDS should end up in the paradise living a Terrestrial law. Then at the second coming be part of the mellenium (Terrestrial Kingdom) then in the mellenium we will strive to establish Zion. In D&C 105:5 it says; 5 And Zion cannot be built up unless it is by the principles of the law of the celestial kingdom; otherwise I cannot receive her unto myself. So to establish Zion we will be taught Celestial law in the mellenium so by the time the mellenium is over we should be living Celestial law. We live the law above the kingdom in which we are in. So when the planet moves forward we move with it. I think in a Telestial world it's very difficult to live Celestial as we would have to cut ourselves off from the world and live the united order. Which would be difficult being in a world where Babylon is the norm. Although Enoch managed it, but you would not be able to let anyone in. It would have to be a walled city, and to enter you would have to be Temple worthy and have an upgraded Celestial recommend to be there. Only the pure in heart will enter. D&C 97:21 21 Therefore, verily, thus saith the Lord, let Zion rejoice, for this is Zion-the pure in heart; therefore, let Zion rejoice, while all the wicked shall mourn. POGP Moses 7:18 18 And the Lord called his people Zion, because they were of one heart and one mind, and dwelt in righteousness; and there was no poor among them. Trouble with the church is we are not currently of one mind and heart this woke nonsense has devided us. They say only a remnant will return to build Zion probably for this reason. Stick with the prophets, if they are wrong about anything God will correct it, not us.

For once I mostly agree with someone. Besides what you said about us living the terrestrial law. A few might be living that law but most can't even live the telestial law. So many are walking in darkness that think they walk in the light.

Love it all. Just a quick thought about form. I noticed that for myself, when I start to phrase examples very heavily using "they" or "them" as categorical examples, I feel like that's usually a time where I recognize something in my own heart that needs healing. It can be valuable to reframe some of those examples. In the case of speaking about the choices of people that we know, it takes speaking in a judgmental way, or viewing through a judgemental lens, to come to some of the conclusions that we do. If we notice weaknesses and others, and then choose to talk about those weaknesses and connect our own dots, this can sometimes lead to everyone being edified, but sometimes it can lead to us being more confirmed within our own frame of reference unless inclined toward compassion. Sometimes it can be helpful to just reframe something in compassion because that's when we remember who our Savior is, the role that He plays in our lives, and what He does for us, as well as what He is willing to do for others. I believe that part of thinking celestial, when it comes to the weaknesses of others, is developing a sensitivity to their needs more than an ability to discern their weaknesses. 💙🙏🪷🙏

Just some perspective from somebody who hasn’t “harnessed the natural man.” I would argue that none of us are celestial beings while here on earth. There were a few times during this video when it was discussed that we wouldn’t be in the celestial realm typically until later in life. This may serve to make a lot of people nervous about their ability or some requirement to reach that level here. I have struggled w addiction my whole life. So harnessing the natural man is a tall order and something I work on everyday with varying levels of success. I think this life if about progress. Not perfection. And since we all start at different places and have much different weaknesses and strengths, it’s tough to put our level of success on a chart. I think we should focus more on working really hard every day, being prayerful, humble, and asking our loving and merciful Heavenly Father to help us to reach our potential, which is something only He knows. As always, I could be wrong and I’m sure at the very least I’m missing some things. But these are my thoughts.

Love this thought! "The lord loves effort" - President Nelson, Becoming More in Christ: The Parable of the Slope By Elder Clark G. Gilbert, and that one old Thomas s monson one where he talks about how the lord cares more about what direction we are facing vs how far along on the path we are or whatever that quote is. You noted Satan " goes for the gold" and offers a counterfeit celestial behavior. And that same principle makes me see even more clearly why it is, then, that Satan most desires to sit in the temple of God, proclaiming he is God, and must be worshiped, as per Bookf of Daniel. He seeks to enforce a theocratic celestial government, with him as Christ instead of the Savior. Thanks for sharing your wisdom.

I love your videos and this was a great one but can you help me with something? Can you point in the scriptures where it says we will have the thousand years during the millennium to perfect ourselves? I’ve heard this many times throughout my years in the church but cannot find anything scriptural to back it up. It’s a bit confusing when we know the resurrection of the just starts AT Christs coming. The judgment starts then. Either you will get caught up to meet him in the clouds, remain on earth and abide the day (not burned at His coming) or you are burned at his coming. When is the final judgment? And how does it differ because judgment is being made at the moment of His coming. We’re separated into categories then…right? At His coming…. And in D&C 76:73-79 the terrestrial are described as those who are not valiant in the testimony of Jesus Christ. I guess we need to all study and ponder what it means to be valiant in the testimony of Jesus Christ. 🫶 Thanks for what you do. I’m a huge fan of your videos.

How is it possible for all of us to live on earth "during" the millenium if there are those who are resurrected with celestial bodies (twinkled at the "age of a tree")? don't they move on to greater things? according to the D&C Abraham< Isaac, and Jacob already have their exaltation. will they be living on earth during the millenium?

Sounds like Alma (later a prophet). The arms of safety fall over those who engage in the repentance process. You will be safe as you try and try and try again. There is no one size fits all expectation. There is a standard to aim for but the Lord is merciful to all who repent. And there is no tier of righteous, most righteous, etc. this isnt a competition and every soul is equal in value which value is endless and immeasurable.

When celestial world is so tied to eternal families it can be so hard to wrap my brain around how it can be untangled. Love and healing your way. 💛 Im in the same boat, some things that the spirit has spoken to my soul is that Jesus has told us "all flesh is in my hands" and "be still and know that I am God". God loves our loved ones just as much as we do, he has a perfect plan and while in this moment we can't see how it's going to work out ideally for ourselves and the ones we love it WILL he has promised that. Trust in God, love your family, follow Jesus Christ. 💛 We will have so many very happy surprises in the next life I truly believe, and your family will always be able to be special to you. We will all be very happy again someday and we'll be able to look back on this "school" of life and realize how infinitely perfect, loving, and happy the Lord's plan is. Dont worry, "Be not afraid only believe" you can always know you can trust in Jesus Christ. He will get you through your sorrow and will always love and want the best and help the people you love too.
