Do you know what amazes me? How motivating it is to be told that your job is vital and what you are doing is so very important. And on the flip side, nothing takes the wind out of someone’s sails quite like pointing out all of the negatives. This whole interview was SO GOOD! And it lit a fire in me to do better and be a better mom to my kids ❤ Thank you so much for the motivational content you put out!

"The product of parenting isn't even the child - it's the parent." I love that!!! I loved this whole thing and there were answers in this episode that I really needed. ❤️❤️❤️ Also, I agree about the changes in the For the Strength of Youth pamphlet. I've been feeling this way particularly about the teachings on music.

I asked my seminary students “why do you think we can have so much faith in God? They were silent - and then we discussed Him being unchanging and merciful. But the thing that we ended on was God being a Safe pillar of Integrity. He keeps His word. He loves and stands solid and invites us to come to Him anytime. Thats why we can have so much faith in Him. He is modeling successful parenting!

I appreciate this video because there is very little information from an lds scripture based perspective and in this area of parenting. It it something where parents look for information in the wrong places. I love she has the LDS perspective with her training.

I love her story about how she taught her children to be reverent in sacrament meeting. I noticed when my children were very little, our oldest was 2 and his brother an infant, many parents would take their kids out and the parent would sit on the couch in the foyer while their child ran what we called the track. You know the circular hall around the perimeter of the chapel! Kids are not dumb. My oldest saw this and thought that looked like fun so he began to act up during the meeting. I quickly stood up and took him out of the chapel. Walked to a classroom. Sat two small chairs in the middle of the room facing each other and I sat him in one and I faced him in the other. He looked at me stunned, and said, “Out?” I just smiled at him and explained that we could either be reverent and sit in the chapel with all the families or he and I or his dad would sit alone looking at each other in a classroom but it was up to him. I explained that in order to stay in the chapel he needed to be reverent. He agreed. I only had to do that once and he was always reverent! They must have consequences and the consequences must be immediate and unpleasant! That boy today is the father of six children and they are so reverent in the chapel!

I loved this episode. I ama grandmother and was wondering if I was my parenting was too old fashioned and was out dated and my own reasoning. I loved the doctrine pointed out of learning by degrees and preparing for more by being obedient. Teaching control over natural man emphasized here was wonderful. Children can learn, and as they learn they are prepared for more. Expect more and be an example but let them learn. What’s best for me is best for my kids. Loved that. Learn to Control their appetites within the bounds , parameters the Lord has set. Trust God. Thinking celestial

I homeschool and we live on 31 acres with farm animals and gardens full of herbs, veggies, fruit and nuts. We are not growing food, we are growing children of God. Unscathed is keeping them from being influenced by the world. No video games, little to no tv. Encourage skill and talent, writing, blacksmithing, canning, cooking, sewing, singing, and or playing an instrument. We shouldn’t give them access to desire to become famous! Everyone seems to want to be like the idols they worship. Study scriptures and teach them to be a champion in the cause of righteousness!

One night years ago I was hopeless as I thought of the dark world my children would have to navigate. As I was pouring out my heart to my Heavenly Father, He told me to read Moses 1 where the adversary’s powers were seen as almost non-existent compared to the Lords glory. And Moses states the adversary’s nothingness compared to the Lords glory and power. And then he sent me to a talk by Vaugh J feather stone that my grandmother was prompted to place in the Book of remembrance she gave me. It gave incredible blessings of spending one day a month in the temple. Which is equivalent to 5-6 endowments a month. Some of the blessings included that a man would become mighty and a women powerful. Your children will go on missions and there will be no empty seats of your family in the celestial kingdom. So 10 years I started going to the temple once a week. Now I go 2-3 times a week and that’s with 8 kids under 15. Make it a priority and all that fear of raising kids will leave. My 3 oldest also go 2-3 times a week. The Lord has truly protected, taught my children and the peace we feel in this world is miraculous.

I want to say a word to young mothers. It is hard to hold fast to high standards for yourself as a mother and for your kids. It may feel like there isnt any recognition or reward. I have 5 kids, the oldest is 24 and the youngest is 13. As my children get older and make their own choices to follow the Savior, that is the best reward there is. I dont need anyone on earth to pat me on the back. God tells me that every effort I have made and continue to make to be an authoritative parent to teach and exemplify the gospel of Christ is worth it. I am not at all perfect, but being consistent and persistent is key. Its worth it. Its worth forsaking my career to stay at home these past 22 years.

Being worthy is very important. I would suggest that the lord will answer yes to someone if they should worthy where he might otherwise say no. Of course God will in some cases give neither a yes or no and leave it to us.

I love this video.. The church should teach members there should be no tablets, phones, and food (except for babies, not toddlers, babies). Adults are the worst with phones during sacrament meeting and they are not viewing the lesson… However, we gave children snacks during primary and nursery because some parents didn’t feed their children before church… Same thing can be said in schools. We feed children because some parents are not feeding them. Other denominations have toddlers who sit still with no snacks.. not that they are necessarily better, but they taught reverence matters.

Please don't use the woke word partner. The word is spouse! The worldly view is partner the traditional word before all the LGBT came about was spouse. Woke words show that you are of the world.

Matthew 22:28 Jesus says, " At the resurrection people will neither marry nor be given in marriage, they will be like angels in heaven". Our existence in heaven will be different from what we are used to here and now. There will be no need for sex in heaven, our marriage relationship will be with Christ, we will focus on Him. Jesus is the groom, and His believers are the bride, it is a relationship with Christ, this is in the scriptures. According to the bible your doctrine is not biblical.
@galelaidlaw8355
@galelaidlaw8355 5 ай бұрын
@hollayevladimiroff in Mathew 19:6 it says “What therefore God hath joined together let no man put asunder.” This indicates that a marriage covenant is eternal (In the right context) and that marriage is of God. The parable you referenced was about Christ’s coming and how many who were invited to the wedding feast did not come and killed His servants ie the prophets He sent. They rejected His full message (maybe they got hung up on one verse and failed to see the entire meaning of the parable) we cannot be married to Christ at the resurrection as He stated here, we have to symbolically be married to Him before. If we want to go to the wedding feast we need to be like the wise virgins and be ready. Also worldly marriage will not take place at the resurrection. Eternal marriages however will endure and those that are not resurrected or dead will still be able to marry during the millennium.
