Which Lens is the King of Dreamy Bokeh?

Big question about the Sirui is - does the lens cover a GFX sensor like the Helios? :D

No and you can't adapt on GFX anyway because of flange distance issue

I own a Pentacon Auto 50mm f/1.8 and a Pentacon Electric 135mm f/2.8. Got them for a total of $20 from ebay and they're really scratching the vintage photography itch for me. So if there is someone who doesn't want to bang out 600 bucks on the Helios, there are alternatives for next to nothing, though they definitely suffer from the same weaknesses, and amplified. Hard to argue that $20 are a risk not worth taking, though.

Notwithstanding the excellent lenses in this video, Céline has the best camera. 🙂 Keeping both lenses also seems like a good idea to me.

well, it's hard for me to consider green and purple fringing as "character" rather than an unwanted flaw... i like other kinds of chromatic abberation but especially green fringing just looks nasty to me, and purple fringing is really annoying for me, i'd prefer a lens that has more or less equal chromatic abberations on all colors

"lightweight" weighs more than two of my mirrorless camera bodies 😭 (I know that's normal for f/1.4's and less than the Helios, but still funny. I just wouldn't describe any 85 f/1.4 as "lightweight")

if talk only about bokeh than helios bokeh is still far better than Sirius lens. Sirui lens bokeh is same like many other lens and nothing unique about it.... but Helios bokeh has swirling effect, creamy dreamy bokeh which is still far better than Sirui lens. Helios is king of dreamy bokeh
