@lukas You are absolutely right Lukas! I also have the G8 since introduction. Bought for $309 after adding a much-needed line of service. Adjust the equalizer and it sounds better than the G7. For $244 it's a steal. Have had the G8 for exactly one year and it's been perfect. I can see owning this phone for 3 more years. Only 5G saturation and now extra cost would make me switch earlier.

owned g7 and v50, i must say g7 is better in the hand due to its sleek dimensions, also way better speakers (idk why) and actually amazing display, but everything else is v50, including the tuning of the quad dac.

A guy who works as a Sprint regional distribution agent sold me a flawless silver G8 for 100 bucks on Craigslist. Not a scratch on it. Never updated, guy never used it. He says he has too many phones lol.

It kinda seems like the US gets the short end of the stick when it comes down to phones trust me as long as Ive veen looking into phones half the brand's with better quality you can't get here or if you do ship through internationally it will cost you big bucks for when you're just trying to buy a mid range phone or an old flagship phone and I think the US just doesn't get those upgrades like android 10 or now 11 in a lot of there phones whereas other parts of the world especially China are already on board with all that and then some and so I think Germany too

One thing I wonder about is CPU throttling on LGs. How they deal with CPU cooling is important to gaming. How hot does it run? Also what’s the deal with OS updates from LG?

Gaming is the best on the g8/v50 but I haven't noticed any of my phones getting hot. LG is decent with updates I'm still getting security patches on the v40 and G7...they said we will get Android 10 later this year so finger crossed.

I have the LG G7 bought in May Ebay $198 out of Hong Kong new. Good phone but the V60 is the best. Battery is 3000 and does not last long. Best value out there is the One PLUS 7T at Amazon $400. New! Cheers!

Battery life on the G7 is better, but screen size preference is up to you the v40 has more cameras, and takes slightly better photos to me.

I've used both phones... And I can tell you for sure that V40's battery is better.. Speaker doesn't sound better on the G7 by the way. It's only louder

If I was you I'd get either a larger screen or just a hole punch I forget which phone it was but there is one that doesn't have no hole in the middle of the screen or notch the front camera is inside the phone so when you click on camera in your phone you just flip the screen like you do with most phones and it will have a facing camera idk how and how much the price is or where this phone is but I seen it on some damn video I was watching with all these phones lol

Permanent or temporary? I get temporary screen burn in all the time but I also leave idle games open for hours at a time pretty much daily, once I did so with it plugged in while I slept for a total of 8-9 hours straight of some idle game and that I wouldn't ever do again as I believe that permanently made by temporary burn ins last longer, but even after 3 or 4 hours the temporary burn in is still completely gone within 5 minutes for me.
