I learned to make my boxes your way from you by hand. I prefer that when you do they line up better when you close end tabs. I have probably not thinking and caught myself deep in thought about a project noticed when cutting and putting together the difference. You can notice. Thanks for all the detail and difference Video. Make myself a reminder note check my edges when cutting my tabs. 🧐😉😜 Have a great Thursday: this came up in my feed. 🌻☕️Jennifer

Like you say, paraphrased, to each his own. Wonderful explanation and demonstration. I was taught the other way and quit making boxes as I was messing up the cuts, two tabs on one side, none on one, and if I got it right and then put glue on two tabs I ended up with glue on me😟. A proper demo and verbiage is so very important, you have that down pat !! Thank you for this demo as now I understand why the other method did not work for me. Little details to please the eye.

It’s a shame that we are in a world where you have to stress so much that it’s your personal preference, but you’re right to. I’ve seen so many comments on videos by people who have taken offence at one thing or other and it’s been very clear in the video that no judgements were being made. I prefer your way, I feel like there’s more control in the building of it, and of course the seam reason. Thanks again for another fab video 🙂💕😂

Sherry it gives a professional finish i see it on the boxes i get from the store especially the ones you pay a lot for with the good products in it And this way even when i make a dress and i use the professional way to finish. it looks like you bought it in a boutique . AND IF YOU DO NOT CUT OUT THE SCORE LINE PROPERLY IT DOES NOT FIT RIGHT AND YOU HAVE TO GO IN AGAIN AND CUT IT CORRECTLY TO GET A GOOD FINISH that is my experience .

If the end result is the same the process to get there shouldn’t matter-especially if there is no time saved between one or the other. I appreciate the demonstration and the explanation of the final look each method achieves. I always angle my cuts for boxes and envelopes. If I don't the flaps never seem to close right. I do it both ways. =^^=

It was explained to me that the 2nd method distributes the "bulk" I have done it both ways and it doesn't seem to make any difference. Like you said its just a matter of preference.

I also make boxes using your preferred method. I find doing it the other way is too fiddly with gluing the flaps into place.

I love watching your videos! Your instruction is very professional and you make every project look easy. Im sure you get this asked often, but can you tell me what glue you use. I looked in your store, but the one listed looks different than the one in the videos

I like the way you do it better. I do it that way too. The other one makes me dizzy with all that spinning of the paper over and over if your making more than one box.😵

Great video Sherry! I made my boxes the first way; however, seeing your way makes a much cleaner presentation. This video was very informative and helpful, like all your videos! Thanks so much for this wonderful tip!

I do it your way. I'd probably mess up the second way and end up losing a tab altogether,

Aha! That’s why all the seams on my box were so cockeyed. Any why I accidentally cut off one of the tabs.
