You’re not supposed to press the trigger while using as a ratchet. That’s why it broke

how are you supposed to use the rachet if you don't hit the button? kind of defeats the purpose of having a battery powered ratchet.

I break bolts loose with a ratchet and then run them out with the cordless ratchet. I have also heard that turning the bolt while pressing the trigger is bad for the cordless ratchet.

12/04/24 The 2567 is being sold in a kit with a 3453 1/4” hex impact, 2 cp2.0 batteries and a charger for $199… @ Home Depot. I know they have a 55 ft/lb one out now that’s the same size, but it’s also the same price for a bare tool. I just popped in to get the non-fuel one and this kit was on a shelf, in the impulse purchase/tool overflow area, just below it.

Looking at these now. Northern has a deal with ratchet and 1/2” high torque. I’ll check part numbers to make sure I’m not getting an older bin-fuel slower speed model. With so many retailer’s Milwaukee does frustrate customers by using different part numbers and different promos.

As a finer point, many times you purchase from a company and Amazon does the shipping. It may be worth looking to see if the seller is authorized as a Milwaukee dealer.

I just tell them that I bought it at Home Depot and lost my receipt so they base the warranty on the manufactured date.

Personally I have all these in 1/4 and 3/8 sizes and prefer the brushed 1/4 drive. Why? It is smaller and fits in tighter places. You can argue the 1/4 and 3/8 are the same size in the non fuel, which is true, but once you put a socket on it, 1/4 sockets are smaller! So it fits in tighter spots! I have the 1/2 drive regular fuel as well and use it sometimes on suspension work. As others have stated, these are nut runners, not impacts! The torque ratings really aren’t that important to me. I break things loose with something, either the m12 ratchets themselves (not running of course, an impact wrench of some sort or a breaker bar - then use the m12 ratchet to run the fastener out / off Granted everyone has an opinion and every opinion is valid.. that’s just my 2 cents

2457 (black top) is the old NON-brushless - 35ft/lb 225rpm. Not worth the price. I agree with you, 2567 IS brushless and the best buy for a 35ft/lb ratchet. The 2565 is a massive 200ft/lb and 3000rpm, its a beast IF you need that kind of torque and rpm range.

You don’t have 2 out of the 3 that I use the most often. I use that original non-fuel ratchet all the time, but I also use my high speed extended reach a lot, and use my insider ratchet sometimes. I very rarely use the other ones-I do have all of them though, I’m pretty sure. Lots of other comments have said this already, but you don’t need to depress the trigger to use it like a ratchet.

My 2457 failed after 2-3 months of use. Granted i was probably putting around 50-75 ft/lbs of force on it before the gears inside skipped. It still functioned but would still skip if too much force was applied (20 ft/lbs). After a month of light use the head of it exploded and snapped.

I wonder how much torque the long reach will take before the body will break. A standard rachet is good for 200+ pounds before damage may occur.

I had the same issue with the non fuel, i went through 3 units until i finally went to the middle fuel but not high speed, great unit but I very much dislike the m12 battery tabs, i have several milwaukee battery's with broken and cracked tabs, they area pain to get off at times, i have dewalt and m18 tools with zero battery issues, nothing broken. Garbage design for the price. Just purchased the new dewalt sealed head 3/8and 1/2 20v, not as comfy to use as the m12 ratchet but overall a much better unit, milwaukee redesign the battery for the m12

2557-20 vs 2567-20? i see that 67 has not as good reviews as 57 on homedepot website, any difference between two?
@DantheFixitMan
@DantheFixitMan 9 ай бұрын
Yes, the 2557-20 is a larger head and higher torque than the 2567-20. But the 2567-20 is labeled as 'high speed' and is much faster at spinning off fasteners. It's just not as strong which sometimes can make a difference depending on what you're working on. Thanks for watching! -Dan

Just bought a 2557 (not in this video) It's the Fuel, brushless, NON-high speed, which is important to have that 55lb ft of torque! The torque is what I wanted, also short reach because the long reach is too long to get inside tight spaces under the hood.

Are the products in your links genuine? It's half the price I'm paying in an authorized store in my country.
@FourDollaRacing
@FourDollaRacing Ай бұрын
NO. Absolutely not! Third party sellers (on Amazon, eBay, etc.) do not offer warrantied tools. Most of these SCAMazon sellers simply buy from authorized stores (or directly from TTI) and "part out" the genuine kits without manufacturer's retail packaging. You likely won't receive an owner's manual or any accessories, either. In other words, you can actually get better prices - with warranty service and owner's manuals plus accessories included - if you buy the same combination kits that the third-party sellers are cannibalizing....

Looking to get the Fuel one in the middle (your favorite) but sheesh it's $279.99 for the kit at Home Depot right now. Do you think it's worth it for that price? I would have to get the kit because I don't own anything Milwaukee.

Hi Michael, Yeah, that seems a little steep at Home Depot... You might want to wait and see if it goes on sale. Or, this kit with two batteries and a charger and a bag is a pretty decent price right now on Amazon if you're good without the milwaukee factory warranty: amzn.to/3N3AfxH I use mine almost everyday. The middle one is great. I use mine daily at work. I have the brushless 3/8, 1/4 and 1/4 extended. I use the smaller 2 and 2.5 batteries and these ratchets suck down batteries like crazy. That price for a kit sounds about right. I wanna say I paid like 225 for the bare tool. The extended one was more.

2567 middle one sucks. It can’t even break a normal nut off. Basically the protection mode kicks in too soon. Try the older 2557 is better. Much better since the protection doesn’t kick in so sudden which helps real nuts loose. Good day

You’re using it wrong. An electric ratchet isn’t for breaking fasteners loose. You’re supposed to break it loose by hand then back it off. Let me ask you this… would you put an electric toothbrush in your mouth and expect it to do all the work? There was a sign at an old shop I used to work at that applies here “Equipment has no brain, operator must use own”
