If you return an air sprite to a shrine, you get guaranteed 4 shockwaves every time, and you can even return the same sprite to multiple ones, refreshing the uses it has. Also, the wind boon is like a katana that doesn't take up an inventory slot.

I usually carry the sword, plus either void mask or shocks. I find the sword is nice for those finer adjustments mid-fight

The sword can also be a good opener if the opponent has height. The air slice has a really generous hit box, and you can make some sneaky jumps to remain pretty safe during the attack.

Void and shocks... I've been lacking bad this season in wins... If I'm getting sword spammed, I'll just get sent back to the lobby if I can't shock out of sword spam in return... I don't want to even carry a sword but my movement isn't still the best against some of the people who reach final 4 ...

Hitscan and the most common primary weapon, the holo ar, can melt cars. I'd still rather have a car than no car in many situations personally.

10:29 if you drop a mask and then pick up the new one - it will have 15 usage for the new one from chest. If I did not drop it before pick it up - it does not work. From the players it seems like it always has the same amount as mine, that’s true😢

The katana also Auto targets people who are near you. I found this actually really useful when you're growing up against somebody with the invisibility medallion or somebody who's in a bush. I feel like your opinion is based on your skill level. A lot of times, people who don't aim quite as well prefer the katana at close range to a shotgun because it can be disorienting to other players to try to aim at a fast paced opponent and that's why they prefer the katana

Shockwaves > Void Mask > Air Sprite > Sword I prefer carrying both shockwaves and sword. But I mostly use the sword for attacking. Shocking onto somebody and downslashing on them from the air with a sword is incredibly powerful.

Just so you know, if you drop the void mask you are holding before picking up another person's void mask, it refills the void mask. You'll get a full 15 instead of keeping the amount you had before.

I’ve ran out of stamina with the katana a few times trying to escape from a third party. It’s a major downside. As a melee weapon it’s crazy. (Everyone can use it so unless you beam them first it’s an actual 50/50). Mobility, less so. Shockwaves are so hard to find. Enemies seldom drop them. Cars are the meta for mobility.

wanted to mention i believe they fixed the issue, i played after the big update and i was able to automatically switch to a dropped void mask without having to manually drop the one i had. other than that.. i tend to go with void mask+ katana often a car though if i lack the void mask i keep shockwaves for sure.. i use the katana for some enhanced sprinting but often more for close combat than mobility.

Every season in normal ZB is unplayable because of new OP items,last season I made my BP just by playing Reload mode,now they nerf the XP hard in all modes to force people to play more or buy levels....I quit Apex Legends because all the nerfs,cheaters,no audio and all the problems to find other problems here 😂 I think I will quit BR games...they just try to milk players money.

I prefer the katana, because I also use it for close combat rather than using a shotgun. My load-out is double AR (!), katana, shields, and the fifth spot is for whatever comes my way, often white heals.

Shockwaves are an instant reset if you're in a tight spot and need a quick exit. Put down a void portal before a fight as an exit strategy and you can still shoot another during a fight to be aggressive or chase. I like using void mask and katana mostly unless I find a lot of shocks. Katana I like because I get fast mobility for camera breaks and going cover to cover for 3p peeks.

Not sure if you know but there’s a weird bug with the void mask. You have to drop it out your inventory then pick up another one in order for it to refresh.

Whenever theres a mobility item that also has an attack i always pair it with whatever the fully dedicated mobility is to maximize efficiency. Even before the nerfs my go to was the Gloves AND nitro in Wreaked and it was Shuris claws AND the jetpack in Doom. So Void is my main mobility and the sword is my combat mobility. Pair that with a decent gun and heals and ive been doing decent. It helps that the sword isint as pathetically weak as shuris claws were so i can rely on its attack until endgame mostly.
