I love my X also,but do mixdown the songs I make on the X,then put the mix down in my isotope ozone multiband compression vst. This is done on my computer. So I still use my computer, but just to master the end product of my X.

Ive owned an X for around 2 years, and Ive just purchased a Live 2 and have found purely due to the portability of the Live 2, that I have progressed quicker in terms of learning and producing more output by far compared to the X. Thats probably just down to my situation, I dont always want to sit in front of my X on an office chair whereas I can use the Live 2 anywhere, and having the speaker is an added convenience. The X is great though.

Similarly, for me as well, but I kinda wish I could use the extra inputs (USB Audio) and QLink Knobs, of my X in my Live 2 over USB, not MIDI. I could not get them to recognize each other over USB which for me would be awesome, so they could function as one unit together.

I think a lot of us were but MPC XL will do the same as the MPC X and an MPC ONE MK2 will be the same I was hoping for a MPC LIVE MINI or something but we still wait.

GAK Uk, all MPCs not in stock. Says new stock is due back in June. Elsewhere discounted prices on all models. So I’m thinking a complete product line refresh in June with OS3?? Probably nothing exciting just internal upgrades to prepare for OS3 and more paid for content maybe??? I’d expect to see disc streaming and an arranger mode too.

Let me just say it. The BEST choice right now is the MPC LIVE 2 ! PERIOD. It ticks most of the boxes, portable, has the big boy features (CV gates, Wifi, BT, SSD storage option), looks dope in the retro look and you can pick them up at around 1100 bucks new and used they often go for 800-850 bucks. The One could be found as cheap as 450-500 bucks used but it lacks in some aspects. The X is still very costly, isn't portable at all, and looks like it did 6 years ago.

Best chances to get the new firmware possibly to wait to buy either machine after the release of the new firmware. You may get it for free and the mpc x at the reduced price. Just wait.

There’s every chance the newer MPC refresh may bundle with some paid for plug in instruments. Same as the MPC keys 61 did on release. Plus the internals may struggle with OS3 or have more bugs as the it will be primary designed for the newer models.

I got lucky somehow and just got my X for 1,699 a couple months ago. I would have been pissed if I paid full price right before a price drop. lol
