The live 2 has been the sweet spot for me! Love the portability, absolutely love the built in monitor, and the battery!

Agree the live 2 is perfect. Love the inbuilt battery and speaker which allows you to use is anywhere. I’ve got an MPC touch which does everything that other MPC’s do however I upgraded because I didn’t want to be plugged into anything. I don’t see the point of having a stand alone MPC if you still need to plug it into power and speakers.

I've had it for a like 6 months. I got it for like 150$. I love it! It's also great to learn the software with.

I found uses for the Studio Mk2, Live 2, and One. If I didn’t have so many keyboards and synths, I’d have a Key 61. You’re right about getting good studio monitors and/or good quality headphones if you’re going to try to mix and master on an MPC or MPC 2 software. You’ll regret skimping because they will save time in the end.

I have every MPC and the only one I would never part with is the MPC3000. Although not as advanced as your mpc X . Nothing sounds as sweet, period!

Great break down on the machines definitely gonna show this to my folks. I think they screwed the pooch on the studio 2 they should have updated the touch.

The one major difference you didn't mention regarding the Key 61 is double the RAM

Having said that, I used most of the pre Renaissance models before I went virtual with Reason 17 years ago. Once I was able to use VSTs within Reason, I grabbed the Touch because I knew I wasn't buying any hardware and ditching Reason. The 2 work well together. Plus when I make Reason only tracks, the Touch serves as my interface. If I were to get a current model, it would one THOUSAND percent be the Live 2 because of the familiar form factor and if I DID do a hybrid DAWless setup, I wouldn't need more than 2 MIDI outs and 6 audio outs. Plus I could add on more via USB later

Mpc one, no question. The X is just too big, the one is perfect and i dont need or want a battery like the live, i never would use it, or the speakers. For the cost, the mpc one is arguable the best sampler of all time. Imagine us 90s heads, imagine back in 96 being able to have an entire studio, for 700$ that you can sample, make beats, and record vocals and mix and master entire albums and live performences. And be able to emulate lo fi samplers

I agree 100% the mpc one is gonna be talked about highly down the road.
@jonathansoko10852 жыл бұрын
@@GregLewisBeats Yep, its nearly perfect. I guess the one nit pick i have is the lack of more outputs but for me its not too bad since i do all mixing internally. I can afford a live 2, but i hate its shape, to me its important. I love the feel of working on the one and its shape is very important to me, i feel home

The volume button is in the worse spot on it tho. It's nearly perfect indeed 😂.
@dtnjnq2 жыл бұрын
Would be perfect if it had an internal battery and ability to install ssd. I could live with no inbuilt speakers as I can use head phones. I just don’t like the fact that it needs to be plugged into power. Not very portable.

I got a bad mpc live 2 and regret that I waited a long time before I began to play around with it so I was forced to get the one.

I received a bad one as well. Took a few weeks to start maulfunctioning. They sent me another one. That was last year in AUG. Hopefully I have no more problems.
