I’m a subset of A, the Southern version. Yes, my ancestors did own a plantation and no we don’t apologize for it. Half French and half Scots-Irish. But I do find we are a bit more stealth wealth than our Northern cousins. I know wealthy Southern families who drive old cars and live very low key here in Louisiana but have much more ostentatious homes where they vacation in the northeast. Drive the decked out G-wagon etc.
