Hair Grease all the way!!! My mom usually use the original blue magic grease in my hair when I was a child. I haven't use the blue one in ages. I currently use the blue magic castor oil and my hair loves it. I big chopped last year June and now I am at bra strap length. Blue Magic grease has helped my hair a lot.

I didn't know Blue Magic had other products besides grease. What are the other blue magic products you are using?
@mariasoto71802 жыл бұрын
I've been relaxing my hair since 13, I'm mixed and remembering my mom using Blue Magic and related products when I was a kid (she did her very best). My hair currently is just a tremendous disaster right now and I have 5 months growth with a bit of the relaxer at the end and holding my ponytail. Today I just bought the BM Indian Hemp, bathed with it and added up some braids....I'm going back to my childhood memories, learn how to manage my hair and never relaxing again. I'm also done with the other expensive natural routines and products that simply doesn't work on my hair. Wish me luck! I love to have my hair long and looking healthy.
@jessieluv142 жыл бұрын
I’m so glad I found your channel. A lot of people in the natural hair community bash grease-something that has worked for a lot of us as a kid. My hair was down my back as a child, and I haven’t been able to get my hair length and health back since I got a relaxer at 5. Like it gets to a certain length and then breaks dramatically. After buying all the expensive natural hair products and none of them working I decided to go back to the old school method of haircare and haven’t looked back since. Now I only use water, hair grease, deep/leave-in conditioner, head & shoulders, and maybe an oil here and there. Washdays are simple and effective. I also keep my hair wrapped for extra protection. Thank you for sharing this content with us ❤

And do I need to grease MY SCALP or not. I'm using THE original blue magic conditioner and dress hair grease which I am using the blue one for right now. How often should I comb and brush my hair? And what else I can do or put on my hair? Text me with your secrets and answers alright CHOW FOR NOW.

Interesting...I grew up having hair grease used in my hair, however although my hair wasn't breaking, it also was never long either. Looking back I realize that the daily combing and greasing of my hair was being applied WITHOUT water, or any moisture being applied before the grease. It was being applied to my hair while it was dry. My sister did my hair back then, and we had never heard of the benefits of adding moisture before the grease. But now I'm going to try to twice a week shampooing and applying the grease to my wet hair and see what results I get.

Yessss hair grease is a sealant it’s not a moisturizing agent. It just helps with retention. And there’s a lot of stigma behind this but it also doesn’t grow your hair, it just helps with length retention. So your routine should be wash, condition, leave in condition, then grease. Hope this helps!

When I was a kid my mom always used the blue magic (blue one) hair grease to press my hair. And palmers hair success (pink grease) to grease my scalp. I had a head full of hair, and it was so healthy. The natural oils are not moisturizing enough for my hair. But the old school grease does the charm. I had to go back to what my mom used on my hair. Also if everyone notice, our friends hair was healthy too, when their moms used the old school grease.

My favorites are the Blue Magic Original and Super Sure Gro. The Coconut Oil one is fine I like that I can apply it it on a daily basis but I still experience shedding with it. The Blue Magic OG I experience less shedding and breakage. Now, I noticed something really interesting and this ONLY happens with the OG blue magic. No other. But when I drink loads of water my hair grows like crazy and I noticed that my skin starts to look better. Like the oils in the grease does not negatively affect my skin. lol it might be a hormonal thing. Like nostalgia excitement or something but I've always noticed that. I love using it the most when I cut my hair off cause it makes my waves look nice. lol

I use a spray mix of Africa's Best Hair Oil blend, tea tree oil and water first. Then Luster's Pink Oil Moisture lotion. My hair has been growing like crazy and is so easy to comb while retaing length. My hair was barely long enough for a ponytail 8 months ago, now it is down to my shoulders. I wash, then condition once a week with Suave rosemary and mint shampoo and the conditioner. I condition again midweek. Everyone's hair has different requirements. Gease was too drying on my hair because it doesn't adhere to my hair as a sealant. Instead, it forces moisture out of my hair. My hair breaks with grease.

I used all of these as a child until I started wearing an Afro. Ma made one stipulation, I had to promise to braid my hair and grease my scalp every night. 30 years later Ma asked if I did that every night. I proudly said that YES, no matter what I did it every night. Also, I was known as having the best Afro and dred locs ever.
