Jason, nice video. Brings back lots of memories. Cowboy Basin shadow would be seen above the ridge at 22:00 in the video. Climb the little lip and sit up on top looking straight ahead. I’m thinking about 2-3 in the afternoon in maybe April or even May. Good luck finding it. Cheers, Doug (aka ferniesnow)

Thanks, Doug! We’ll be going back next weekend. Hopefully we get another sunny day and a glimpse of the Cowboy!

@@JasonCaville Just went over a video and it was mid-April in 2014 that I got that shot. Enjoy the spring riding. I’m finished for the season as I’m not into chains, mud, and sketchy snow lines for access.

I ride Fernie, Revy, & McBride, so varying snow conditions and I'd still pick the 9R all day long. The weight of a Boost & the arm stretch just wear a guy out. You can pick away at terrain with more control (9R), whereas to use the Boost - you need to be rippin'. But you're right...most of us will never outride an 850, lol.

The 2024 Boost is supposed to make better bottom-mid power. That with the Khaos 155 325 would be my choice if I went with a turbo. The 9R is so much lighter and will wear you down slower!

How much do you weigh??.. just curious.. im 250lbs.. would you still recommend the 9r??.. i would be riding those same spots..and write me back plzz!!.. need to make a decision today!! Lol cheers

@@CADILLACHERNANDEZ 210 all geared up. As for you...tuff to say. Riding style plays a huge roll in the decision. Beginner, Intermediate, Advanced?? Personally i think 80% of riders out there should stick to light weight non turbo sleds. But...there's nothing like the arm stretch you get from a boosted sled. Good luck on yur purchase!

I’m 200lbs. A Khaos 9R has tons of power. The track length is the toughest decision in my opinion. 155 325 can be pretty wild if you like that sort of thing. The 165 takes it down a bit

What is your setup on the 850? Sounds great. What clutching?
@JasonCaville Жыл бұрын
High elevation clutching from factory and a Sled Shed Cooker Thing muffler. It’s aggressive! Completely stock otherwise. 👍

What pipe do you have that has that holder for the muff pot??
@JasonCaville Жыл бұрын
It’s the Cooker Thing from Sled Shed
