Which Pixel 9 Pro has the better camera? XL vs Fold!

Thanks for the very detailed comparison! These are hard to find, most oeople compare the Fold 2 to the Z Fold 6 or the 9 Pro XL to other normal non folding phones. I have the 9 Pro Fold but I am not very satisfied with the camera. I came from the 8 Pro and this was clearly a step down in performance/camera quality. In daylight the 9 Pro Fold performs quite well with the Main Lens and 5x, the Ultra wide lens is a catastrophe IMO, even producing noisy, bad pictures at daytime. And video quality overall is bad as heck, only Video Boost can save a bit, but this makes the videos less sharp. I ordered the 9 Pro XL now, going to switch. But it will not be easy for me as I really love the Fold, apart from its cameras.

Yeah, right now you will always have to either compromise having the bigger screens or the better cameras. I hope one day the cameras will be equal across the premium level devices.

@@alischan absolutely. I would even pay a little premium and rather have a thicker camera bump if they made a real 9 >PRO< Fold, with amazing cameras and better front screen. This one IMO is a 9 Fold without Pro, don't really see where the "Pro" is.

All this video has shown me is that the downgrade in camera from the XL to the Fold is very minimal. In the vast majority of scenarios that someone would use the camera, there is a very minor difference. To me, that minor difference is not worth skipping out on the foldable phone that I want. Switching from iPhone 15 Pro Max to Google Pixel 9 Pro Fold! Thank you very much for making this video!

This disqualifies the Fold for me. The camera of the Fold ist not *bad*, but this is just not good enough to justify the price.

Yeah, we are talking about a price difference of about 600€ depending on where you are, and that's difficult to justify imo.

basically if you use your cameras a lot at night or take a lot of videos, the fold is a no go. Everything else has a minimal difference.
