Honestly, any time a challenge is on a randomizer I kinda lose interest, because you're no longer really based on skill, but sheer luck of getting the right encounters. Not to say this wasn't an incredible achievement, adef! But definitely not for me. I had way more fun with radical red (until my game crashed after I beat Blaine and threw me all the way back four saves somehow to while I was still EV training and team prepping. I was done after that cuz it killed my drive. Maybe I'll pick it up again sometime, but for now, that crash did me in).

About that shiny Swinub in 16 encounters. I was going to do the math on my luckiest hunt ever and see who was more lucky and we were literally exactly the same. I got a shiny Lillipup on my FIRST EGG using the masuda method (with shiny charm) in pokemon Moon a few years ago. The odds were 1 in 512, which when converted to a decimal, is EXACTLY THE SAME as 16/8192. I just thought that was awesome and wanted to share.

Hot take, the real argument is if shiny Pokémon are 'special' at all, perhaps not even worthy of any prestige people seem to think they carry. One could argue that it's just a matter of time before you find what you're looking for and chances are someone found the same thing you want in a much easier way (Easier Method/RNG Manipulation/Hacking) and nobody will ever tell the difference. It might as well just be another possible skin for the same character someone felt like using at any particular time.🎉
