Which RC Rock Crawler Is the Most Fun To Drive? [RC4WD TF2 Marlin Crawler Southern Utah Run Video]

In this video, we look at what is, in my opinion, the most fun truck I have-the RC4WD Marlin Crawler Edition! I don’t spend too much time talking about the specs of this truck, because I really haven’t gone too far down the TF2 aftermarket rabbit-hole that I know exists, but I do have a big ole smile on my face every time I take this truck out.
It’s certainly no comp crawler! And with the leaf springs and smaller tires, it forces you to take a moment and really think about your line-but that’s one of my favorite parts about driving the TF2 Marlin Crawler. It may not be as capable as some of my other trucks, sure. But this truck still outdrives me every time I take it out! It’s beyond fun to see what this thing is capable of, and to test your own driving capabilities in a rig that is planted and predictable but still a challenge nonetheless.

Well hello my friend!! I just wanted to know that you and the rest of the Sl,ut crawlers have inspired myself to build a tiny tire truck based off my element enduro!! That's the Marlin you mentioned. Has the sound of my people as Tom would say lol. When I hooked up the new purple Crawlmaster BL it went super quite after it powered up, I took it right back out since I got the castle an revolver for the noise lol. Have a great day brotha!!!

Definitely easy to have a smile when driving anything on the rocks! I also really enjoyed the challenge of my TF2 it’s a whole different experience and approach to obstacles with those trucks but it’s very rewarding getting them to go up lines you wouldn’t believe they could do. That Marlin exceeded my expectations more often than my other trucks and that’s what makes them great! Awesome video dude. Now I have something to look forward to Friday’s and sundays! 🤘🏼🤘🏼

It really does provide a totally different challenge, and that in itself can be a nice change up! But I’d have to agree, the TF2 just blows my mind constantly when we’re out on the rocks-I don’t think the engineers imagined what we’d be trying to pull off with these things in Sand Hollow 😅 but thanks Logan. Heck yeah man I’m in the same boat. Out of all the crawlers I have the TF2 is definitely my favorite. Granted mine is pretty modified but still just as challenging compared to my LCG rigs.

Awesome video Sir. I enjoy running my Comp Crawlers but i enjoy running the Class 1 more than the others. That rig has almost everything going against it so I never really think it should crawl the lines it does. That rig always surprises me each and every time. Keep up the great work.

I think most of the fun is the challenge, so rigs that are challenged are my favorite to drive. Rigs that can do anything easily can get somewhat boring to drive after a while. Great video, love the narration.

Thanks for the input! I totally agree. It’s more fun to have more obstacles in front of you, and sometimes the obstacle choice becomes limited for serious comp rigs. But I really appreciate that, cheers! 🍻

I'm sorry if it's been mentioned but what are the electrical upgrades? I'm looking to get a bit more control out of my marlin and I'm not sure where to start. Love the vids! I like every video I watch and you deserve so many more subs!

No worries! I'm currently running a Castle Sidewinder 4 with a Holmes Hobbies Revolver Snubby V2 200KV for the powertrain, and a SAVOX 1212 for the steering servo-though I'm looking to upgrade that soon as well. And thanks so much!! I really appreciate the kind words! 🙏🏼🙏🏼
