Soft mode on my msp feels actually superior then the other modes, you can use the swing to move on out and also to carve to a nice stop. For me the rigidity of hard mode dampens the playfulness of the msp. The msp is still an an amazing wheel.

Nice one! Kudos! Yet, I didn't do the acceleration test (afraid of leaning hard, hehe, for sure I can not accelerate as you do, and I don't see much its utility in a real situation, except for competitions, on which I didn't participate yet), but I repeatedly did the break test, and it takes me few seconds less time to break from my highest speed (undisclosed :P) to zero, in soft mode, compared with hard mode. Not counting the WoD (wobbles of death), which is a lot less in soft mode (the wheel is more prone to "vibrations" when I break in hard mode). Riding an RS HS as main wheel.

I ride my RS in hard mode most of the time. It seems more stable and has less dip.

I'd love to see you have a set 30 meter run and do 3/5 runs on each mode and average out the times in each mode to give a more scientific result :D

U-Stride, my man, love this content.. lol.. and I was thinking about it riding around around on my evening ride and had to pull over to give you my thoughts. As much as there is a certain neatness to a trilogy, I think we need #4. So I have a 16x and pretty much live in soft mode, and I don't find it slower or quicker than the other modes. What it is is SMOOTHER. As to what causes that effect within the wheel I'll leave that up to you and your expertise. That said if you really want to demonstrate the difference in modes and/or for anyone reading this, feel the differences (at least on a 16x) - Carve, slowly.. think longboard, and put on some chill music. It might not make for the best KZbin, but heavy, deep carving in 'soft' is so much better an experience that medium or hard.. at least in the 16x. It almost gives the effect that you're riding a bigger wheel than you are. Anyway had to get that out of my brain, lol, I'm off 🏄‍♂️🌄 Good stuff man : )

P.S. I think especially on a 16-inch wheel, at 25 psi or so, it takes any twitchiness to be found in the 16x almost completely out, but you still get that sweet, sweet tourque 😁

There's hardly any difference...that did surprise me. Personally I ride soft mode on my msp for the comfort. Medium on my msx as the soft mode seems a lot more floaty than the msp.

I can dig it. Do u alternate tow pressure when hard acceleration? Kinda like an offset bounce? I noticed I can get a little more power if I do this..

Mister Kevin EUC Upgrades had trouble breaking on the Commander in Hardmode. He could break better in medium-mode.

True but that's subjective. I was making an objective analysis. He isn't as skilled in riding in hard mode to make an ultimate accessment on that in an objective way. So yes for everyone it will be different but I did mention hard riders.

@@UStride Kevin mentioned he couldn't get his heels behind the pedals in Hardmode, because the pedals stayed horizontal. In medium mode it was easier for him to lean backwards, because the pedals would dip backwards a bit. He is also very small and light guy.

At 9:20 in soft mode it looked like you almost hit 14mph. It would have been cool to reset the TS gauge to see what it was. (I don't ride soft mode myself, just curious.)

What iphone app lets you adjust the pedal angle?

Any app but it's all done manually. You have calibrate the wheel and that's how you do it. I think inmotion or kingsong allows for it in the app not sure
