@@BigChiefWiggles try placing your feet on the outer sides of the pedals a bit more. There is a tendency to want to cling to the sides of the Tesla in the beginning stages because it can be quite twitchy. It hurt me a little at the start on low (25psi) tyre pressure which makes it abit sluggish and harder to maneuver at low speed so a tendency to cling the sides is developed. Also soft mode with the delay i think is harder to manage at low speed so just try hard mode with 30-5 psi. I run 40psi. Practice penduluming in a hallway with the tesla not rubbing against your legs. Hold the walls both sides, send the wheel infront, bring it back to behind, repeat and when its slightly behind let it drive you forward a meter or so then re-establish firm stationary contact on the wall with your arms and let the wheel go infront to brake to a stop. Repeat ad infinitum until it feels natural. You are also learning braking at the same time.

@4:36 while the difference in modes is more noticeable in 84V or less motor types, the higher the torque, the less noticeable the pedal rocking is...example, medium mode on the MSP 2500W motor feels like hard mode on the 84V MSX.

I think what nobody mentions is that in hard mode you can overload the wheel more easily. Also in hard mode there is basically no EUC feedback of how loaded it is. Its just a steady platform until you fall. This is something I would expect to have in future wheels. Not just tiltback that kicks in when some criteria is fulfilled but wheel tuned in such a way that it directly feedbacks you by tilt how much it is loaded. So in my opinion some tilt is beneficial even with the drawback that it is less sporty.

This is the best description of the three ride modes I've seen yet; required viewing for new riders. Do you think soft mode is easier on the battery? Do you think it creates a cut-out buffer? Seems to me that it might do both of those things.
@UStride
@UStride 3 жыл бұрын
That's a good point actually. Inherently soft mode doesn't encourage hard riding so it's very possible, yeah. But on the other side if you're pushing your wheel in hard mode during acceleration you will know because the wheel almost lags behind. Finally hard braking like emergency braking can cause the motor to cutout actually because the mode won't respond with the immediate response you need during an emergency
@DontKeeptheFaith
@DontKeeptheFaith 3 жыл бұрын
@@UStride You seem to be suggesting that the motor may struggle to catch up to the demands of an aggressive rider in hard mode and that this will indicate that you are pushing the wheel too hard. So that indication would be a sign that it's time to back off, hence, it's like a buffer. Interesting. I might play around with that idea.
@UStride
@UStride 3 жыл бұрын
@@DontKeeptheFaith so it won't struggle to keep up with the demand in hard mode, but what I meant is that in hard mode for an aggressive rider you're more likely to reach 80% output much quicker at which point (assuming your battery isn't low) the motor will harshly dip forward just before cutout, giving you clear feedback that you need to back off. You can back off at this point and the motor will regain it's power and balance but if you're an aggressive rider who leans forward hard and overtorq the wheel, it's possible you might not able to back off in time due to overleaning, because at that point you would have missed the opportunity to pull back.

I have an old school Z10 that I have 200 miles on and everyone that has one needs to experiment with each of the 4 settings the wheel has. It's a personal thing and almost no review on KZbin of the Z10 covers this much. It's a totally different ride when you play with the settings. At 60 years old I started riding in January and this is my first wheel.

When I first got my Sherman I put it in hard mode... I tried soft mode and was too new to know or feel the difference due to all the other thing I was trying to concentrate on... lol... now a month or so of riding I switched it to soft mode and was immediately wanting hard mode again... haha. Soft is sort of petal dip exaggerated for me... and the sherman already has some dipping feeling with tight turns anyways.... so soft for me makes it feel like its trying to almost lift-thrust me forward with turns... I'd rather have the immediate torque on hard mode... less input-more exhilarating

Well explained, when you tried the Kingsong what firmware was it on? V1.xx (a lot of motor whistling) or v2.xx (quiet motor and very hard pedals), because on the kingsong v1.xx the pedals are very soft even in hard mode and i didn't like it, with the 2.xx update there is has more torque at low speed than on the MSX on the 18xl, the pedals are very hard, similar to the medium of the MSX in hard on KS I didn't think so but I'm riding a kingsong now, after the Tesla and the MSX, I wish you to try again a ks with the update is much better

U-Stride, Got my RS 19 HT with Molicell batteries.. and my first Begode / Gotway.. I can't find my original comments about this video, but I could write a book about the difference between KingSong and Begode riding modes.. I'm making this comment now, so I can add to it later, I could write several paragraphs on it. Any new wheel is different, but it should be explored.. the different riding modes King song vs Begode.. edit comimg. P.S. As of right now I think I like them both, but very different.. there's a lot of movement in the wheel (back and fourth from the center of the wheel), on any mode, of a Begode wheel, vs a Kingsong, at least the vs 16x.. The 16x stays perfectly flat.

I ride the MSP mostly soft mode, both on and off road. But I feel it kind of calls for the style of "smooth is fast". Like if I loose momentum before a step incline on the trails, my friend will easily pass me with his medium or hard mode. If you need instant torque and alot of it, it feels like the wheel will lean over to much to fast.
