Which Royal Arm Is Best in Final Fantasy XV (Tier List)

I'm gonna be honest besides using them as stat sticks I did not use the royal arms. Even when I figured out I was immortal as long as I had potions didn't use them. Warp strike with the basic sword did everything for me and holding down the L1 button. Warp strike build up gauge use armiger. Rinse and repeat.

Thinking back, I basically didn't use the Royal Arms at all. I tried the first one you got, noticed the health drain, and didn't really bother since. Tried one more time very briefly when I got the Sword of the Tall since I thought it must be worth the effort it took to get it but found it lackluster instead...and that was it. Even during the Chapter 13 segment where the Sword of the Father was your only available weapon, I just used the ring instead. I always wondered if they were even remotely viable, or at least worth using often over regular weapons. Sounds like they do have some situational uses but not really enough overall.

I'm disappointed because Noctis doesn't have his own personal Royal Arm... imagine if Engine blade is somehow upgraded into a Royal Arm and became Noctis's Ultimate Weapon...with Royal Arm-esque Aesthetic, great status boost with no health drain, and renamed as something like "Sword of the True King"... that would be very epic

Cindy is Cidney in the Japanese version, the localization team really pooped the bed with that one.

Not a particular fan of this title, only good thing in my eyes were Gladiolus design and Ardyn, what a fun villain, but great list as usual.

I really REALLY REALLY wanted to like this game. I got it day one, finished it and put it down, got all the DLC, and replayed the story STILL hated it. It's just... such a bad game. I wanted to like it so much. But all that got me was that last cutscene at the end, during the last camp scene.
