UPDATE: The Zotac Twin Edge OC and non-OC seems to have a slight difference. The non-OC has one less heatpipe than the OC, first time I'm seeing the OC and non OC models use different hardware. Based on this I wouldn't change where the non-OC is on the tier list but for the cooling performance this will definitely be lower than the OC model although still better than the D tier single fan cards.

I have concerns about these two graphics cards and I am in a dilemma every day which I would rather buy when it will be at least approximately IFRS + -. I'm looking at the ASUS TUF Gaming 3080Ti and the MSI Gaiming X Trio 3080Ti, but I still don't know which one I would prefer or which one has a better VRM and everything else. I would like to have done a good job and to serve as it should so far I have had an ASUS manufacturer. I have an MSi motherboard and it really confuses me a bit here. I would ask you if it is strong that you somehow direct me or. give me an argument and I will then decide more easily. i have 750W PLATIONUM PSU

Just replace the cooler with an aftermarket one and tbh if you aren't overclocking it doesn't really matter which one you pick as long as you keep your temperatures in the reasonable state.

@@RealNightFuryX I don’t have that card anymore but when I did, I think I had +130 core and +600 mem, temp and power limit maxed out. Didn’t touch voltage. But I’d actually recommend undervolting to achieve a slight overclock. I’ve always had better results doing that. Optimum tech has a video or two on it I believe. Otherwise traditional overclocking is great on 3060s.

And to correct you It has a metal backplate in fact all gaming 3 or 2 fan have metal backplate That metal backplate does excellent job of cooling thanks to plenty thicc thermal pads and metal plates also cools immediately thanks to flow through design. @@hakuxi9193 I've paired my 3060 with an i5 10600k at 4,5 GHz and 16GB RAM at 3600MHz. I've only tested Red Dead Redemption 2 and Battlefield 5 so far. RDR2 runs at 70FPS with ULTRA settings at 1080p and at 55-65 FPS with ULTRA settings at 1440p. Battlefield 5 runs at 120-150 FPS with ULTRA settings at 1080p and 80-110 FPS with ULTRA settings at 1440p. These are relatively demanding games. I hope it helped!

You can't break a card unless you use shunt mods which makes the power limiter unlimited. So if you're talking about overclocking just through software just max out the power and voltage settings and see how high you can push it. ;)

Just one quick question: Are you certain of the Zotac Twin Edge/OC models 5-phase VRM configuration? I couldn’t find that information anywhere, and I had assumed they had the same PCB/VRM as the AMP White model.

Thank you! I'm 90% sure. They use the same PCB as the RTX 3060 Ti Twin Edge which had a 6-phase 50A setup but I seen from going through unboxing videos one by one that the 3060 version has one extra empty solder spot for components so it should be 5 phases.

I used to do the exact same research before buying a card. Your effort is appreciated! Saved me a ton of time. You might add a hint about the slot size of bigger cards though. Wish I could have gone with the MSI Gaming X as it runs 10° cooler than the Eagle - but 2.5 Slots just won't fit in most mini ITX Cases. I also think the use of thermal pads shouldn't be overlooked as it still is not a standard every manufacturer provides. Keep it up!
