Thanks for this - very helpful. What's it like rucking with the plate in the laptop compartment, vs. the internal sleeve in the main compartment? Does the plate stay in there securely without bouncing around?

@@johnwedeles5384 back in the day, laptop sleeve was all we had for ruck plates. Works like a charm. If the plate slides around any, just cut a piece from a yoga block and stuff it in there.

Thanks, Ryan!. Can this backpack be used where you carry a laptop in the laptop compartment and a goruck plate in the other compartment for the purposes of rucking with a heavy plate with your laptop to a destination or do you think the ruck plate would risk damaging the laptop?

Personally, that would make me nervous. I'd be afraid I'd forget that the laptop is in there and set the bag down in a way that causes the weight to rest on the laptop. But, if you are a careful person and always set it down in a controlled manner so that weight is on the bottom, I guess it could work.

Did you have to remove the frame sheet for the 30Lbs to fit ? I tried putting the exact same 30lb ruck plate in the laptop compartment and it didn't fit for some reason

Strange. I didn't have any issues at all. Tall and regular both fit with no issues.

Thanks for the video- how would you say this compares to a Rucker 4.0 20l for just rucking? I know the Rucker is BUILT for it, but their stock on colors I like is non existent and I’m ready to buy something haha. Any issues with comfortability when carrying large amount of weight in this bag? In the laptop compartment too? Thanks!

The straps are smaller, so it is a little less comfortable as weight increases. For me, this would do in a pinch, but I’d personally prefer the Rucker. Not sure if that helps.

@@Rucking that does, thanks. I was also mistaken and thought they were in stock- they’re not. Waiting to see if other colors of the 20L come out but just learned they’re now shipping without the lower D-rings, which sucks. Also frustrating their stock is always out. I want a goruck bag but checking out other alternatives currently, appreciate your insight!

Looking at a 2.0 20L, i think it’ll be a good fit as I’m not looking at doing any events yet so I don’t think I’ll miss the side handles. Think I should go for it? No lumber support though, they’re asking $150 shipped.

@@Anythingelse83 NO!!! The 2.0 was one of the worst rucks GORUCK has ever put out. The framesheet is bad and can't be switched out. It is probably the only GOURCK I tell people not to buy.

@@KaPPy83 Not at 45#. They're the same at that weight. At 30 & 20, Yes4All are = to the tall/skinny ones in the video.
