Ravi was being full woke, he was channeling Nehru. It's the kind of thinking that Ravi exhibited that has landed India in its bad state prior to 2014. mindless idealism. Ravi started attacking AIM instead of his argument. He also compared apples to oranges, the accusations the west makes about India's human rights record are outright lies, whereas the incident that AIM referred to about ethnic Russians in Odessa was filmed by the Ukrainians that commited the atrocity, it is a fact, not an accusation. Ravi is lacks skills in logic. Same for Jagdish, they are making emotive arguments not factual ones.

AIM perfectly told us what the consequences of showing sympathy for Ukraine, abstaining from condemning Russia will get us. Cheap oil/gas, essential minerals, oil seeds, fertilizer, continued arms for purchase, influence on veto holding country. What will supporting Ukraine by outright condemning Russia's actions fetch us? A strained relationship with a beneficial ally, no promises/treaties by the west that we will receive full backing in case of chinese aggression on India, no sanctions on China for threatening Taiwan, no cheap oil, death of mineral, fertilizer, arms supply, no promises to not provide arms or aid to pak, no efforts to rein in international leftist media when it comes to India. What if the west puts pressure on India that now that you have condemned Russia's actions, you should show that condemnation through participation in sanctions against Russia? What if they further pressure us to put boots on the ground? All for the hope that if we are obedient to the US, they may 1 day support us in a situation where we have to stave off aggression by china. He clearly said that "might is right" according to international justice and the dumber started giving lecture on morals and ethics treating it as his personal opinion. From where do you catch hold of these panelists ? Ramesh did not have anything to oppose Abhijit. So he picked up on his confessions about his mother and asked him to stop and then he goes on to say, here we can disagree ! Shetty says, "Okay, so what if Ukraine has killed a few Russian people (mind you, 45000 killed is a few), so what ?" and he goes on to equate it with articles of American press questioning India !!!!!!!! Of course, people who don't want to speak of Hindu genocide, violence and exodus in WB but praises Mamta, lives are so cheap. Small wonder. Should we treat Pakistan which has killed 40000 Indian soldiers, aided and abetted jihadic attacks all over India (bitta Karate says he got millions from Pakistan for killing every KP.) and want to bleed us with a 1000 cuts the same way we treat NYT, WP, WSJ, The Guardian, BBC etc ? After all both the crimes are same for him ! Another sane voice was Aravind. Yes, Russia has every right to defend itself. It is not India to go and have biryani diplomacy with its enemies who want to destroy it. USA is solely responsible for strengthening NATO against Russia and making it a very big war by involving all the countries. I am proud of India for not letting Uncle Sam arm twist us and asking it to go and fly kites. Saudi Arabia and Dubai don't even lift the phone when joker Biden rings to talk to them. He has become a 'jo'ker who is for'bidden' in those countries. lol. Ravi Kapoor, if you want to be Gandhi 3, so be it. I understand where Mr Kapoor was coming from and he was trying to be righteous which is a nice thing. However, I think he was being naive. It is good to expect the best but it is foolhardy to dream of a Utopian world. AIR may have come across as ruthless but he was realistic. Any country whether it be the US, UK, China or any else thinks about it’s own benefit first and only acts accordingly. It’s time India got off its high horse of morality and Vishwaguru syndrome and learns to think and act for its own benefit. So I think the present government‘a stand is completely appropriate for the occasion and we are currently at a sweet spot where neither is the West taking offence to our stand nor are we antagonising Russia. Ukraine does not even feature in our scheme of things so it’s in our interest to let it deal with its own problems. Anyway hollow rhetoric of idealism won’t benefit either Ukraine or India so why should India do something with zero benefit and lot to lose

This is quite interesting.. 1 person vs the rest of the panel. but there are too many questions and one answer leads to another question and the rest of the other questions remain unanswered, looks like one part is not enough. one more episode is required.

As a layman, I would like to say that all your points presented against being unaligned in this discussion of the present war is weak and unsubstantial.i believe that the stand of the Indians is good for India.
