Which Sinnoh Starter Got The Best Mega Evolution? [Pokémon Emerald Elite Redux] (v1.6)

Only Kanto and Hoenn were given megas in the main series of Pokémon but what about the other regions? Well Pokémon emerald elite redux helped solve this issue giving other starter Pokémon some love. In this video I will break down the Sinnoh starters mega evolutions and rank them to see which is best.

I dont like the fact that grassy surge sabotages torterra's own ground stab. Both earthquake and fissure seem to get their power halved in said terrain.

I'm so glad Torterra got some love, he's my favorite of the 3 but I'll admit, probably the worst. Also, I didn't know about the accuracy buff from gravity, that opens up a lot of options. Double that up with a dream master Gardevoir for some nasty Hypnosis/Dream eater shenanigans. Throw a light screen in the mix to protect Torterra from the inevitable Ice Beam.

If Eqinox makes Attack or Sp. Atk boosted up to are equal value, why not make one of the attack stats increased and have the remaining increased on defense or more speed after Mega Evolving? Honestly, with the plates and pads on Infernape, it should get more defense.

Wouldn't Torterra's grassy surge also reduce the power of its ground type moves? Still would probably rather have the ability than notm, but it seems like an unfortunate side effect.

Grassy terrain only halves the power of earthquake, bulldoze and magnitude, not all ground moves

I like the megas and their designs, however, i think giving them so many abilities at once is something so childisth and unbalanced. It is like those badfics where someone writes a Gary stu protagonist with all genetic benefits and advantages. I like Atlas concept if It only puts Gravity, which is unique

Tbh I feel like mega Infernape is worse than Empoleon. Equinox is fine but it really doesn’t do as much as you’d expect for it unless you specifically want a mixed Infernape plus it only really affects teambuilding not overall battles as you’re not always gonna want to mega straight away with regular Infernape getting prankster boosted swords dances or nasty plots giving it more value. Plus mega Infernape is so power focused that while yes it can be hard to stop once it gets going with a setup move but even then it’s got that whole turn of vulnerability that actually detriment it in the long run due to the amount of Pokémon super effective against it being run here. Empoleon can at least hit things with 100% accurate hurricanes but Infernape is always sacrificing something to make Equinox work

As of writing this Elite redux is getting another update. With many changes to old Pokémon and new forms. Including some megas. Mega Haxorus can now choose between Fearmonger, Keen Edge or Mold Breaker as it's regular ability. Mega Slowking loses Magical dust for Shell Armor Mega Gatr Y loses Rampage for Berserker Rage which is Berserk and Rampage fused togeather. Mega Slaking loses its innate Lethargy for Super Strain which is a lowers attack upon getting a Ko and it takes recoil. It's regular abilities are now Unseen fist Mold breaker and Unaware. Mega Breloom's ability Fungal infection is now its innate replacing effect spore. It's regular abilities are now Long Reach, Avenger, and Stamina Mega Infernape loses Berserk for Adrenaline Rush. It's currently unknown what this ability does. Mega Empoleon loses Slush Rush for Inpenetrable which is basically magic guard.

​@okayfine3728 Kanto is cool n all, But please, Nothing comes close to how unoriginal and uninspired Blastoise and Charizard are. Venusaur is the only one thats actually creative. The other 2 aint nothing. Kalos has a better trio in terms of creativity, design, and themes.
