From my perspective: I’m a runner and pretty slim guy. I’m 6’5” and about 175. My muscles are skinny but very well defined. A leg sleeve is going to look way better on you if you’re like me! (I just stared mine this summer). I think arm sleeves still might look cooler, but for my build, leg sleeve all the way !!!

I think they’re both kinda the same in terms of areas. Because arm has elbow, wrist, elbow ditch, inner bicep and back of tricep BUT that being said the leg you just feel pain so much more. DEFINITELY HAS A MORE IMPRESSIVE AND ACCOMPLISHED LOOK

I have both arm sleeves, a full chest piece and am one or two sessions away from finishing my first leg sleeve. He isn’t kidding, the amount of time it took to get to the point I’m at is mind boggling. So much money, sessions, ideas into one sleeve is crazy to me considering how fast I did my two arm sleeves. And the leg has so many more brutally painful spots as opposed to the arm sleeve. That being said, I love my one leg sleeve more than both of my arm sleeves combined. It’s so different, no one has leg sleeves unless they’re apart of the “heavily tatted” community. And it’s so freaking sick. LEG SLEEVE ALL THE WAY

For me, tattoos are only selfexpression and the enjoyment of the aesthetic and motives / artwork.. when i was 15 and listened to rock bands, i was always faszinated by the bands tattoos.. so over 20 years later, im now 35 and ive started with my arm sleeve :) i love it when you are dressed well and your awsome sleeve pops out, it has an rebellious touch.. im also happy that ive waited that long time to pull the trigger.. i think the techniques are now way better than 20 years ago, today is the right time for all those beautiful realistic tattoos.. back in the day, that was not really possible... for myself, i only enjoy tattoos that are visible to me, so a legsleeve will never happen for me... maybe i will change my mind after my arm sleeve is done, you will never know... :D

For me starting with my leg was the best way. I knew I want tatttoos but wasnt sure if I'm ready to be "tattooed girl" all the time. Now I have tattoos from knee down and on monday we are going to start my thigh piece. I have a legsleeve and one smaller tattoo on each forearm. I did the forearms when I was younger and had something to prove to the world. I much prefer my legsleeve because its for me. Also there have been times when I have been greatful that people cant see most of my tattoos. All the extra attention can be a bit annoying sometimes, but fun sometimes too. With the legsleeve its just easier to choose for the mood of the day.

So I’m a pretty big/muscular guy, and I care a lot about my vascularity as well. I have some tats on my arms/chest, but not a full sleeve yet and one of my biggest worries is that it would hinder my muscle definition. I am getting a really large piece on my upper thigh soon (which I am super excited about), but I have really hairy legs so I don’t mind losing a bit of definition there. Also, leaving one arm relatively clean while getting a sleeve on the other might help maintain the muscular/defined look I’m going for. But, for these reasons I’d probably prefer a leg sleeve. The only issue is I’m currently training Muay Thai, and i have to throw lots of kicks/knees which might suck during the healing process.

I already have both arm sleeves. All the way from the shoulders to the wrists in and out and I want a leg sleeve next but as the wimp I am I`m a little bit afraid of the pain. The arms werent too bad except the elbow, the wrist and maybe the triceps region but over it all it was okay because the mentioned spots arent very big but I have a hard time imagine how much more pain I have to go through for a leg sleeve just because there`s so much more surface around the painful areas. I don’t have any leg tattoos yet. I got a half sleeve on my right arm and just the elbow left on my left arm(which I’ve heard elbow is painful) but THE MOST painful spot so far was the area around my knuckles. I just got my hand done 2 weeks ago and yeah surprisingly it was the least painful spot so far…aside from the knuckles and about 3/4 inch up. Rest of the hand was a walk in the park

I'm getting a body suit as well. I think they're all important. I have am making progress towards getting my right arm and leg finished and work on my left leg is progressing more slowly. I can't have a preference, eventually it will ask be one big tattoo in the end. I have to and counting, but when it's completed like a Japanese bodysuit it will ask be one cohesive work off art. Things will get damaged most of the time they can be touched up or restored. Maybe you can do some shows on back and chest peices.

That’s something only you’ll really be able to answer and know. Sometimes you just have to make the leap, get it and see. It’s a safe area in terms of visibility and hiding it. Also depends on what you want, the piece you get plays a huge role aswell

I finished my left arm sleeve a few months ago. I have a whole bunch of different pieces the flow really nice together. A lot of them are very meaningful, some of them aren’t as much but they all have meaning. I’m starting my leg sleeve in a few months. It’s going to be on my left leg, Japanese style dragon with no negative skin. The one reason why I think I’m going to love my leg more than the arm sleeve. There is so much more space to work with even though I’m not going to see it all the time. I can’t wait for it to be finished!! It’s going to take at least six months to complete it. On my right leg I have a half leg sleeve we finished 2 weeks ago. I’m also working towards that body suits, but I’m going to take my time on it lol.

when they are on the same side of the body with nothing on the other, it reminds me of two-face - I think it still looks cool, but the biggest drawback i could imagine is the visual weight difference might make the person feel off-balance
