@@GumshoeClassic Even then, it could be argued that since they're violent animals, he's just protecting himself while on the planet and he wouldn't have done that if he knew those animals wouldn't hurt him or his Pikmin. As for the Pikmin deaths, they're all accidents and in fact in Pikmin 3, it's explained that their adventures through the three games have taught the Pikmin how to defend themselves so they won't get gobbled up when there's no Captains around to guide them.

@@matteojames2312 I'm not arguing whether his actions are justified or not, I'm just saying that he definitely has irreversibly altered the places he visited and negatively impacted the population of multiple species. Hell, we don't know whether the Pikmin rising up against their predators is a good thing. Their population could explode, turning them into an invasive species. Olimar has acted as an outside influence on the ecosystem, he disturbed the natural flow of things, regardless of his reasoning.
