i used to play pokemon competitivly in vgc, one aspect of pokemon is that there are hidden stats that effect the stats shown in cgame so 2 pokemon can have the same stuff but stats be diffrent, these are called individial value points or "iV' for shot, does this game have somthing like that?

What does this game do different than pokemon?

It's harder because of the stamina system. In pokemon you can just use your most powerful move to get though the whole game or use the super effective moves to keep one shotting your opponents without even thinking at all and offers no challenges. Temtem however is opposite of that. The battles are more towards the risk vs rewards and there are no rng. Battles are all about strategy with no luck factor. The status condition works different than pokemon. It's a long paragraph to explain everything that's differ than pokemon. It just much more fun and the competitive is much more complex. This game is focus on 2v2 format and it does a better job than pokemon balances. Most temtem in this game are viable. Some pre-evolution have better strengths or flexibility than their final form which is interesting
