Which straw cup is best for baby or toddler?

🥤Here’s the deal with straw cups…there is no one perfect choice.
🥤There are so many different kinds, and they’re all a little bit different.
🥤The first thing you need to know is that your child is learning to manage a faster flow than they’re used to from a bottle or nursing, regardless of the cup that you start with.
🥤I like starting with the silicone free-flowing straw cup trainers. There are a number of these on the market.
🥤Then, there are a number of cups that have valves and are somewhat leak-proof. If your child can already drink from a free flowing straw, they should be able to drink from these, but really don’t need valves for flow control. I know you might want a leak-proof cup though!
🥤If you try a straw cup with a valve and your child seems frustrated by the slow flow, you can modify by snipping off just below the valve if it’s in the straw. If you buy a cup that has the valve under the lid, you usually cannot modify those.
