Even though these ice makers have an on/off button, do you have to unplug them to turn it off?

Nice video, i have a bullet ice maker. But what I don't like is that with sparkling drinks the ice takes the fizz out within a minute or so. This is because it is not clear ice, but it is a more porouse ice (and it has many microscopic sharp corners and contaminants from the water) I think I will upgrade to an ice cube machine one day.
