The newer Chanel flap bags definitely do have more structure to them! I have quite an old small classic flap in lambskin and it’s quite squished at the bottom as of doesn’t have the same structuring. Loved the video btw

I was really torn between the boy and the Diorama for several months and went and purchased the Diorama last Saturday and was made up that I got it in the colourway I wanted (I wouldn't have purchased it otherwise......I got the black grained leather with silver hardware in the medium). I think the Diorama is much better value and quality for money and they're almost identical. Every time I picked up the boy bag, I kept thinking how little you're getting for your money! They're so light (but beautiful nonetheless), but felt that I couldn't justify the cost and as the Diorama is almost £1000 cheaper, it just means that I can now put this towards another bag; it might take me a year to save for it, but i've got a head start LOL xx

I️ love this video, it’s incredibly informative! I’ve been in love with the classic flap ever since I’ve learned about the history as to why Chanel created it the way it is...from the details on the chain to the small hidden pocket for her letters from her lover. Think I’ve been dreaming of it since I️ was in 8th grade, and I️ just graduated university last year. Hopefully once I’ve settled more into my career, I’ll finally invest in a Chanel! I️ remember the price being around 2k and now the increases have been outrageous, but I’m determined to own one!!

I've learned so much from watching you. This is such a good comparison video between the two bags. Not to mention I absolutely love all three of the bracelets you show at the end. The bags are out of my price range right now, I just admire from afar and learn as much as I can should my situation change, but the Clic H bracelet is very doable. Unfortunately, the Hermes Canada website doesn't have it in rose gold plate with white enamel. Will have to find out more about that.

Would a piece of Plexiglas cut to fit inside the bottom of the Boy bag help with the saggy bottom? If you get a piece of Plexiglas, make sure you sand the edges smooth after having it cut. I use sandpaper to smooth the edges or sometimes a fingernail file for acrylic nails. On thick Plexiglas I use the fingernail file. Another very informative vlog. Thank you.

I've done it with tote bags that I have that needed to be structured. I wanted one tote bag to carry a large bowl when it was my turn to bring something to work for pot luck luncheons. I use cardboard to make a template and then I had my local hardware cut the piece and then I did the sanding. The thicker Plexiglas works for when you need to support heavier objects but it adds very little actual weight to your tote bag. With the lambskin just be extra careful that you make the edges smooth.

The less flimsy part of the bags are filled with cardboard between the leather. That’s why certain part of the bags are stiff. The more squishy part is just leather and no cardboard to keep shape.
