Today I want to show you my favorite Ukrainian Online Dictionary GOROH. Actually, it is not one online dictionary, but a whole library of dictionaries, where you may find words definition, changing of words by genders, number, cases, conjugations, etc., idioms with these words, their transcription, synonyms, and etymology!
Here is the link to the dictionary: goroh.pp.ua/
It is a powerful tool that could help you learn the Ukrainian language at any level. It was worked out for Ukrainians, but it will perfectly work for Ukrainian language learners!
Watch the video to see how to use it and what advantages Goroh has.

😃😄Щиро Дякую! Це просто ідеально. Я користувався різними сайтами, один був дійсно гарний, але вони допрацювали тільки до літери "п", і, можливо, це був надто просунуто, а в інших є частини того, що робить ваш. Тож це просто ідеально! Доброго дня найкращому вчителю! 😋

My favorite dictionary/tool as well. I think you mentioned the pronouns (without showing it). People should really have a look at them too. Very useful. I also like that all words have stress marks. Even the double ones (where the stress can be on different syllables). The only thing it lacks - but which I haven't seen anywhere else either - is some kind of cross reference between perfect- and imperfect forms of verbs.
@VERBA_SCHOOL

Thank you for your comment)) Yes, I didn't show pronouns in order to make video shorter, but it is really great for any part of speech :) And yes, unfortunately I agree about the aspects of verbs. I hope one day they will add this feature 👍

Thank you, this is a great tool ! 💙💛 1 thing i am interested for, if it exists. Is a tool that maybe shows you how to find the different forms of a verb, like imperfect and perfect. So for exampl: If you have писати and you want to know the perfect form of this verb (написати) Is there something that exists? 🥺 I really would like this tool 🙈

Can it give me the corresponding perfective verb for an imperfective verb and vice versa?
@VERBA_SCHOOL
@VERBA_SCHOOL Жыл бұрын
Unfortunately no, and I have not seen such a tool yet. But it says if the verb is perfective or imperfective, and also, if you are looking for definition of perfective verbs, f. e. ЗРОБИТИ - it will say "this is a perfective form for the imperfective verb РОБИТИ. And for imperfective verbs you will see the definition at once. Such a little trick 🙈
@JacobOvergaardMadsen
@JacobOvergaardMadsen Жыл бұрын
@@VERBA_SCHOOL thanks a lot. So ... finding a perfective verb is a matter of trying to look up a verb and add one of the known prefixes. The challenge just comes when instead of a prefix, there are some changes inside the verb instead. I've found that Wiktionary can give some perfective forms.
@VERBA_SCHOOL
@VERBA_SCHOOL Жыл бұрын
@@JacobOvergaardMadsen yes, it can be prefixes, suffixes of prefixes + suffixes 🙈
@JacobOvergaardMadsen
@JacobOvergaardMadsen Жыл бұрын
I just checked some of your other videos. I really like the fact, that you explain both the imperfective and perfective forms when presenting a verb. It's a real mystery to me, why no online dictionary except for Wiktionary includes this. imperfective/perfective forms for all verbs. I think you can't master any given verb without knowing both forms. I've sought in all online dictionaries for this without really finding it, except Wiktionary. Wiktionary is missing a lot of vocabulary, though. It's one of the areas where you really get the feeling, that Ukrainian isn't a language really learned by foreigners. Or so it used to be. The learning materials for other "bigger" languages are much more developed. I really hope that this will change in the near future. Keep up the good work. Your videos are great!
