Which Warhammer tactics games are your favorite - or least favorite??
@TheElevenbit16 күн бұрын
Daemonhunters was a great discovery for me and probably it is the favourite at the moment. The same I can say about it's predecessor original Chaos Gate. Frankly speaking all late 90's Warhammer games were great.

@TheElevenbit daemonhunters is at the top of my list despite some of its flaws. I've actually just started into the Dawn Of War games and I'm a little upset I missed them growing up

@@GridCommander Great choice!

Rogue Trader, Mechanicus, Gladius once the Adeptus Mechanicus DLC was added, and the Battlefleet Gothic: Armada games. Battlesector is in my Backlog but I'm waiting to play it until either Adeptus Mechanicus or Dark Mechanicum factions are added or new factions stop coming. I would love a non-mobile turn based Battlefleet Gothic game.

@roguerifter9724 solid list! Are dark mechanicum confirmed for battlesector? That is something I would LOVE to see added

If somebody wanted to try the table top game, I suggest the kill team which is xcom in warhammer 40k or WarCry for Age of Sigmar which is more easy and casual to play.
@robertchmielecki258014 күн бұрын
Yup, I came here to recommend Kill Team too :) best 40k turn based tactics game so far.

Hi -- Battlesector is on sale for $1 almost constantly of CDkeys. At that price, it is very worth it even with just two factions. :*
@GridCommander15 күн бұрын
This is true! CDkeys has some great deals and Battlesector is a great game at a lower price point

Great overview. I still don't know which ones I want to play, but I can make a more informed decision now!

@@GridCommander well thanks for the video. coming back to this for the holiday sales I think I've narrowed it down to Battlesector (I love that skirmish mode design! I also just love all the red lol), TW:W 3 - that HUGE map is several times larger than when I played the 1st one years ago which is very exciting, and Rogue Trader which just blows the galactic scale out of the park. The massive scale of DLC choices and gameplay maps and faction styles is just totally mind-boggling and reminds me of the excitement of my first time playing Rome: Total War and Europa Universalis. Thanks again! If not for this video I probably would have just set the whole thing aside from the choice overload lol

Loved Battlesector, mechanicus both were excellent.

I personally like the squad battle style of mechanicus a little bit more but enjoyed Battlesector and it's different modes as well

I keep hoping Denuvo will be removed from Daemonhunters some day. I refuse to purchase it until it is.
@GridCommander14 күн бұрын
@@sybmike yeah it really is a shame. I hope to see it get removed at some point or a GOG version pop up.

Great list of games. My personal favorite is Daemonhunters. Better than XCOM2, which is itself an all time classic. Rogue Trader would be my runner up. Tacticus is a great game but it's a mobile game and has all the cancer those games have. It would be better if it was a live service game with a monthly fee.
@GridCommander15 күн бұрын
I agree completely! Chaos Gate does a great job with the XCom formula and the tweaks it makes - one of my favorite in the genre hands down. Tacticus really could be decent if it wasn't as stuffed full of monetization as it is.

From my understand and correct me if i am wrong, battlesector is the only game that is still actively developed and updated now from what i can see with a new DLC and alot of updates coming, the rest seem kinda dead now.
@GridCommander3 күн бұрын
Yes, mostly. Rogue Trader just had it's first DLC released, and another will come probably in 2025, but battlesector is the one with the most promised updates and support coming

@@GridCommander it is sad, I picked up chaos gate on sale and it's fantastic, if only it had modding and updates
@GridCommander3 күн бұрын
Modding would be an amazing addition! It is a great game but sadly it does seem to be "complete" as far the developers are concerned

Mechanicus is underrated , not sure how and why it went under the radar like it did. Do yourself a favor, get yourself a game you ll be replaying again and again for cheap. Probably super cheap by now.
@GridCommander13 күн бұрын
I'm not sure why it went so under the radar either. It was during the time of Warhammer games constantly coming out and maybe got lost in the flood of mediocre - but it's definitely worth the cheap sales price you can get it for now
@Subject_Keter16 күн бұрын
I remember watching Choasgate but it kinda lost my interest but Mechanius 1 and 2 seem so good. Also for me, i get why people like Total War games but i wish it was more about "smacking your foes into the dust" over "having to run a successful society that just so happens to smack people into Dust"
@GridCommander16 күн бұрын
Honestly chaos gate is one of my favorite games in the genre, but it definitely has some very noticeable issues. Mechanicus is fantastic! I can't wait to see it evolve in 2. That's a great way to describe Total War too 😆 my thoughts exactly
